A Secret of Mine

The Announcement

The time is growing near. Its almost time for the big announcement. My name is Annie McKenzy. I'm a 8th grader at Greenwind Junior High School. At the moment, the school is awaiting an important announcement from the principal, Dr. Nancy Bernard. She's very keen on academic related subjects and mostly focused on the subject of common core. I'm sure you are all familiar with that subject. As the principal walkes up to the microphone, there is an uneasy silence in the room. We are all very tence to here the news.

"Attention students of Greenwind Junior High" says the principal. " I have heard urgent news from the district, they have instructed me
to tell you that school will be closed due to the following. This may sound rediculous, but I have heard news that a mythical creature lies umoung this school, but personally, I think this is no reason to close the school." I gasp and turn around frequently. Have they discovered my secret! If they found out, my whole family is in great danger. And if so, how did they get this information in the first place? Then I look. The whole school is staring right at me, including the principal. She points to me and shouts: "Get her!"

I wake up and take a deep breath at the relief that it was just a dream, but my secret is no meer fantasy, and it could put my whole family in danger if someone finds out. There is nobody to talk to to help me through this. I am left to struggle through it alone. No hope of ever being relieved of this heavy weight on my shoulders. No comforting hand to hold to reassure me that everyting is going to be fine, and make sure that none will be harmed. For I am a fairy in disguise.
