"Faster! Faster!" I shouted, I was riding on my horse Lavender, chasing after my neighbor's horse Simon. "You can't outrun me!" Levi, the neighbor shouted. "You wanna bet?" I challenged, I urged my horse to run. Faster and faster we ran, till we passed him. "Keep going." I whispered to Lavender. I took her through the woods, speeding down the familiar trails we've ran since I could ride Lavender. We came to a creek, and I made her run even faster. We jumped, and landed across the small creek. We made our way to another trail, and that took us to a hidden path. I slowed down some, glanced behind me, he was still so far away. By the time he made it, Lavender was taking a well needed drink, I on the other hand, was already in my bathing suit, swimming around a few times. "Damn girl! You should compete in horse races. Have you been training Lavender?" Levi asked, letting Simon drink from the lake. He grabbed his water bottle and took a few big gulps himself. "Nope, I just really wanted to beat you." I said, floating on my back. "Well, you sure beat me!"
"Close your eyes Missy! I wanna come in there too, but I can't let your innocent eyes be ruined forever." Smiling, I did what I was told, for once, but couldn't help but peek. I mean, it's not like I've seen it before. He doesn't know this, but I've seen him naked before, once was on accident, after that, I've seen him naked more than I can count. He's handsome, a major hottie. Big abbs, black hair, light brown eyes, and a dimple on his chin. I fantasize about kissing that dimple, but I can't. First of all, he can't know I'm like, obsessive over him, second, he is a player, he dates like three girls a week, and as much as I want to be his girl, the more I want to scream. He'll never date me for as long as I want, which is like, forever. He had asked me out more then once, but I know him, it wouldn't last, best to just guard my heart. That's right, make fun all you want, sixteen and no boyfriend! I have two words for you, and they aren't nice ones either. You see, I know what heartache and pain is like when it comes to break ups, I have a twin sister Emma, who just got dumped by a boy in our algebra class, she loved him, and I mean, she really loved him. She's always so sad and broken. I don't want to be like that, why can't I just have a lot of boys that are my friends? They're cool, and fun to hang out with.
I realized when I was five, that boys for friends was the right fit for me. I tried to make friends with girls, first day of school, I tried to play dolls with Emma and her friend Val, but Val was a crybaby, cried over the littlest things. I couldn't take it, and found a boy eating paste. I walked over to him, and stared in to his light brown eyes. "Why you eating that?" I had asked, clearly curious. "Dunno." He said, and continued to eat it. "Can I try?" I asked. He looked surprised. "Why?" He asked. "I want to see what I'm missing out on!" I exclaimed, snatching the jar from him, it was nearly gone, I scooped out a litle, and... it tasted horrible, but I continued to eat. Why did I continue eating it? Dunno!
Anyway, that's when I met Levi, he introduced me to his other friends, all of which were boys, and I fit with them more then I did with the girls.
"Okay Winner, you can look now." He said, jumping in to the water, splashing me and scaring the horses. "Great job dude! You scared the crap out of the horses!" I exclaimed, shaking my finger in his face, then using my other hand, I splashed him in the face. "And that's for splashing me! "Don't start a splash war Elizabeth Marie Davies! You know I'll win!" He threatened. "You should know by now, that I don't like it when you call me by that awful name, and... you should never threaten to win. Because you know I will." I said, then I dove at him, taking him under the water.
