I wake up to the aroma of crispy, chocolate chip pancakes. I pull down my cream, silk bedsheets to reveal my almost-white legs. The cold air fills my room, giving me a shiver down my spine. I pull on some cotton, navy blue sweatpants and a white t-shirt. I walk to the kitchen where I am greeted by my optimistic mother. I devour the pancakes in seconds. I wash my dish and go back to my room. I change into white shorts, and a maroon t-shirt. I slipped on some converse and put my hair into a ponytail.
I packed my bag (which mostly consisted of unfinished journals) and headed outside. I began to walk, with no particular destination. I did this a lot. I eventually found myself in front of an old, abandoned library. I sat at the curb and pulled out an empty journal. I began to write, but like always I had nothing to write about. I lacked inspiration. As I stand up to walk back home an old Volkswagen pulls up.
"Your destination?" a boy with dark brown hair asks. I don't reply. He pulls the cigar out of his mouth and opens his mouth.
"You are a hitch hiker right?" He asks.
"We're in the middle of town." I reply.
He starts the engine and puts his cigar back in his mouth.
"You need a ride or not" he asks.
This was one of those "don't-get-into-strangers-cars" thing that I completely ignored. I thought about the pros and cons. I thought, and thought and I finally concluded that this would be an experience I could write about. I've been lacking so much inspiration that I forgot how to get inspired.
"Yeah, I do actually" I said firmly.
