Lucifer x Reader

It seemed like all Dean did lately was yell at you. Sure you did screw up the hunt but that didn't mean he needed to remind you about it. But unfortunately Dean had a bad habit of taking the older brother role a little to seriously.

"You should have known better then that (name)! Dad trained you better then that!" He yells at you for what felt like the millionth time that week.

You flinch away from your oldest brother, who was currently reminding you of John. "I screwed up Dean! How many times do I have to say I'm sorry?"

"Considering you almost got yourself and Sam killed! I'd say a lot more!" he barks back pointing at Sam, who was sitting on one of the motel beds.

Guilt ripped through you as you looked at the middle Winchester. He had a huge gash that ran from his elbow all the way down to his wrist. Sam had just finished seeing it up with dental floss and was now pouring whiskey over it. He hissed in pain at the contact.

You grab a damp cloth from the kitchenette and head over to him. "I truly am sorry Sammy. I promise I'll do better next time," you say as you wipe blood and whiskey from his wound.

"Don't worry (name), it wasn't your fault. I should have been more careful," Sam says through gritted teeth.

Dean ran a hand through his hair before turning his back on the two of you. "Don't make excuses for her Sam. (Name) screwed up big time and she needs to own up to it!"

"What do you think I'm doing Dean? I know I screwed up. But as always you don't see how bad I feel for what happened. All you see is how i messed up and nothing else!" You cry, frustration towards your brother starting to bubble over.

"Maybe it's cause that's all you do lately! Which is the exact reason why you will never truly be a Winchester!" Dean yells back, crossing a line he shouldn't have.

A tear rolls from your (e/c) eyes. Before either of your brothers could say anything else, you run from the room. Sam calls after you but you don't look back. You just keep running until you reach the door to your room, yet another sign that what Dean had said was true. For as long as you remember Dean had always treated you differently. No matter how hard you worked, you were never going to be more the his half-sister. In his eyes you were never truly going to be family, not like him and Sam.

You pull out the key to your room and slowly open the door. So wrapped up in your thoughts and with tears streaming from your eyes, you didn't notice that someone was sitting on your bed.

"(Name)? Are you okay?" a deep male voice asks you.

Nearly jumping out of your skin, you spin to face the man who had spoken. Relief floods over you as you lock with a pair of bright blue eyes. "Goddamn it Lucifer! You scared the crap out of me!" You cry, placing your hand on your chest.

Even though you were still mad at Dean, you couldn't help feel a little better. That is until you remember that your brothers, and Lucifer's true vessel, we're just six doors down.

"Luci! You can't be here! If Dean and Sam knew you were here. . . If they ever found out . . ." you stammer as panic ripped through you.

The Archangel stood up, walked up to you and cupped your face. You couldn't help but lean into his touch. "They won't find out. But let's get back on topic," Lucifer wipes a tear away with his thumb. "Why are you crying? Did you and Dean have another fight?"

Suddenly you let out a mangled sob and throw your arms around him. "Oh Lucifer, what am I going to do? In Dean's eyes, I can't do anything right!" You sob as you bury your face in his chest.

For the last four months, you had been secretly seeing the Archangel turned devil. He was the only one who understood what you had gone through all your life. Just like you, Lucifer had an older brother who never treated him like family. Even though you knew Lucifer needed Sam for the big prize fight between him and Michael, you also knew that was the last thing he wanted to happen. Because just like you, he loved his older brother and just wanted to be accepted.
