Anna sat with her foot tapping restlessly on the ground beneath her, eyes staring blankly at the board as each word the prof. said went in one ear and out the other, his small, wirerimmed glasses and sideburns moving up and down as he droned on and on. The girl continued passing notes with Meghan, slipping them onto the ground, dropping them on the blonde's desk like bombs on the way to get a tissue, keeping it casual. It takes quite a bit of practice to become as suttle as the two friends were in their communication, good thing they did it often.
By the time the bell rang to signify the end of class, Meghan's cleavage size had noticeably increased with bits of paper. Soon enough both girls packed up their bags, rushing out of the Art History classroom and to the bathroom to dispose of the evidence.
"I still can't believe you did it."
Meghan said with a casual shrug as they walked to the dining hall out of the lavatory, causing Anna to give her a sharp glance, and tuck a curl behind her ear as they walked into the lunch room, pausing a few feet from the entrance.
"I still can't believe you're still talking about it, seriously Meghan, don't you care about anything else? It's not that big a deal, I'll ask him out, and even if he says no I can always just forge a note or something with his phone number and trick Liam into thinking he said yes, I have my ways of getting that information."
Anna said, a small smirk tugging at her lips as she lifted her head to scan the lunch room. The girl's soft grey blue eyes flickered lightly over each table, moving away every time she saw someone who wasn't Blake, her bag bouncing lightly against her back as she moved, with her friend behind her muttering under her breath.
Meghan talked to herself sometimes. Of course, this may not have been one of those times, but Anna tuned her out all the same and focused on spotting those silky chocolate brown waves perched over that perfect face, the one she'd imprinted into her mind.
"Yeah yeah yeah calm down Meg, I'm looking for Blake, see him anywhere?"
The blonde narrowed her eyes and let out a small huff of annoyance at Anna's dismissive question, a silky lock brushing away from her face as she did and grabbed her friend's elbow, stopping their path towards the back corner of the cafeteria, by the window where they normally sat. Meghan pointed towards a couple tables away, where Blake was laughing with a few of his buddies, and Anna brightened slightly, only to feel a small jab when she saw how one of the girls at the table was giggling onto his arm, attached.
"Who the hell is that slut he's hanging on..."
She muttered quietly under her breath, instantaneously jealous, but apparently not quiet enough because Meg spun her head with raised eyebrows and a hand on her hip.
"Excuse you, Anna, if you want a guy to like you then don't call his friend a 'slut'."
Anna frowned slightly but knew her friend was right and let out a shaky breath she hadn't realized she was holding, biting the inside of her mouth before nodding to herself as a bit of encouragement and starting to walk over. Moments later the girl's feet grew minds of their own and Anna was plopped down in her usual seat, staring at a scratch in the paint of the dining hall table; she groaned quietly and rested her head on her hands, shaking it slightly.
"Oh who am I kidding, Meg, there's no way he'll say yes, I'm doomed to go out with that douche Liam, you might as well go ahead and dig my grave."
She said miserably, resting her forehead on the table and shying away from her friend's persistent shoving and poking.
"Oh my god, I can't believe you. You literally made a deal with the devil to get a date and now you're chickening out before you even get the chance! What's wrong with you Anna?!"
