Damon howled like his life depended on it. My ears cringed at the loudness, but he didn't stop. He leaped around the room in a panic, desperate to get our attention. He yelped and barked and whimpered franticly trying to warn us of the situation.
~Two hours earlier~
Crap, why did I sit here again?
It's pretty obvious they don't take well to new people.
"Hey there Liam!" Dillion greeted me excitedly.
"Uh, hey," I said unsurely.
"Say hello guys," He faced Michael and Susie, gesturing over to me.
"Hello," They chorused together.
Susie added an awkwardish wave and looked up at me with a ghost of a smile of her mouth. Seemingly friendlier than she was yesterday.
"So, um... how are you guys?" God, really Liam? You couldn't think of anything else to say?
"We're fantastic!" Dillon answered eagerly, "How are you?"
Well I had to wake up at 5 o'clock because my brother told me the bus comes by a 5:30 but it actually gets there at 7 o'clock. Then I stepped in gum on my way inside and spent ten minutes trying to get it off my shoe. Not to mention I left my homework at home.
I smiled, "Great."
Someone pulled my ears out like a monkey, then pushed my head to the side.
"Who are your friends Lee Lee?" Luke appeared from behind me.
Great
"Nice dog," He told Susie as he took the seat on the other side of her.
"Thanks," She eyed him curiously, but ended up shrugging to herself.
"Nice eyes," He complemented her, then stuffed a chicken leg in his mouth.
"Nice hair," She complemented him back.
"Nice shirt," He nodded to her Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles shirt and pulled the chicken bone out of his mouth.
"Nice mole," She pointed to the mole on his right cheek.
"Nice nose."
"Nice shoes."
"Nice lip ring."
"Nice teeth."
"Nice face."
She laughed, "Thank you."
Luke grinned back at her, "Anytime."
Well he got a totally different reaction out of her than I did.
Luke slid his chair closer to her, "Your eyes are blue like the ocean, and I'm lost at sea."
She wrinkled up her nose, but then smiled, "How long have you been working on that one?"
"Excuse me, did the sun just come out or did you just smile," Luke used another pick up line, ignoring her question.
"The sun came out, Moron," She rolled her eyes.
He laughed at her, "Are your parents bakers? Cause you are a cutie pie."
"Are your parents comedians? Cause your funny," She said in that way that's hard to tell if it's sarcasm or not.
"Are your parents thieves? Cause you stole my heart?" Luke grinned.
She bit her lip, "I don't have another one, but really, how long have you been working on those?"
"Only since the day I met you."
