Mate! That's something only werewolves experienced. It's rare to find a werewolf who's mate with another species. They believed in the moon goddess and she blessed them with their other half! Their soulmate. It's more a curse to me, I'm not a werewolf and I always felt bad for them. Finding your soulmate is great but losing them is a pain that no one else could explain, they can't live without each other and one die if their mate rejects them or died.

So hearing this man... no this beast calling me his mate was a shock to me. That explains what I felt when I touched him.

"So I'm really your mate?" I asked him.

"Yes you are!" His beast responded.

"Can I talk to hum..." I don't know how to call him I don't know if they have the same name or different names. "the other you?" I asked.

He chuckled "I'm Nova! His wolf. The other me is Kai" I nodded and he let Kai take control.

"What's your name?" Kai asked

"Marine! They also call me 2604" I responded. Knowing that he was my mate I was more relaxed around him.

"Marine" he pronounced my name like he was testing the sound of my name coming out of his mouth.

"Like Nova said we're breaking out tonight! I won't let my mate in there for another night."

"I told you I can't because I got the tattoo they'll find me wherever I am and I can't leave my friend behind" I said calmly. Something flash in his eyes when I mentioned "my friend" that's another thing I hated about werewolves and their mate bond they were possessive.

All my life I knew how to get rid of this tattoo, all my life I knew how to escape this prison but I never tried because I don't have anyone waiting for me outside. My parents are dead and I don't have any siblings.

I sighed and asked "If I come with you, do you promise that you'll come back to save the prisoners?"

"Yes I have my bestfriend and family in there too! My pack is there so I must come back! I just need to make sure you're safe! There're other packs out there who will help me." He was so sure of himself.

"But yet a close one betrayed you!" I said closing my eyes.

"How do you know?" I could hear the shock in his voice.

"I see four people around you they are not blood related to you but you trust them. Two have white auras one has a grey aura and the other one has a black aura. The latest put something in your pack's food" I revealed to him what I saw and opened my eyes.

He was about to ask something but I interrupted him "I don't know who is it, I can't see their faces I can just see their aura through you because you're with them frequently."

"What are you?" He asked looking at me like I had four heads.

"I don't know" I said truthfully. "I know how to get rid of this tattoo and I know how to get out of there." I said thinking it was time to make a move.

"Okay let's do this!" He said impatiently.

"Mate or not I still don't fully trust you" I replied... I could see he was hurt by what I said.

I cleared my throat ignoring the feeling of guilt I felt. "Give me you hand!" He gave me his hand without hesitation. I felt the sparkles again.

"Do you Kai... what's your last name?" I asked looking at him.

"Alphin" he responded

"Okay Kai Alphin promise me on our mate bond that you'll come back to save my people, your people, our people and specially my friend ... or else I Marine will reject you!" I said firmly.

"NO!" That was Nova! And I know he said NO for the "friend" part! Kai retake control quickly and said "yes" I could feel the internal debate.

"Now let's get the hell out of there." He said impatiently.

"Wait we'll go at 2 am that's when there's less guards. They will check on us in three hours so we must be there. I'll take care of the tattoo now! Hold my hair for me" I whispered that part.

The braids Rony did for me was already a mess so I undone them after they gave me a cold shower. My curls were too long so I needed help with them. Kai helped me with my hair gently. I know he was wondering what I was about to do.

I took the only sheet they gave us and I bite into it knowing what I will do next would hurt like shit.

I lifted my left hand and summoned fire, I put my hand where the tattoo was and burned it. Kai immediately took my hand preventing me from hurting myself anymore but I pushed his arm. I bite hard into the sheet. I was crying at this point.

I replaced my left hand with my right hand and summoned water. I quickly healed myself after.

"What the fuck was that?" Kai said turning me around wipes my tears.

"I don't know I was born like that! Don't worry it won't leave a big scar."

"Is there more besides you seeing auras and controlling elements?" He asked

"I- I never tried other things so I really don't know." I said truthfully.

"What are your parents origins?" He asked seriously.

"My dad was a siren/merman or a water nymph whatever you want to call it but I don't know about my mom"

"Do you transform when you go into the water?"

"I don't know usually pure blood siren transform in the water immediately but since I'm mix my dad told me I would be able to transform at 16 and communicate with marines animals but I never had the chance to experience that." I said remembering the story my dad use to tell me about his kind.

We spent the next two hours talking more. In half a day I talk more than I did my entire life.

While talking I took my mate's apparence in. He was really intimidating, every inch of his body was full of ink except his face. He had long hair and a beard. He was seriously the most manly and handsome man I laid my eyes on.

His aura screamed danger and power. But weirdly I'm not scared of him. I could sense a lot of blood on his hands too... he killed a lot but this didn't bother me. Am I normal?

Well I was never "normal" to begin with.
