Willie and Alex One Shots (Willex)

The Anxiety Attack pt. 2

This oneshot is based on the song "3 small words" by Misterwives. This is kinda continued from my previous one-shot, The Anxiety Attack. It's set a few months after that.

OUTSIDE POV

Alex had left to go on tour a couple of weeks ago and Willie and Alex both missed each other.

The band was at the rehearsal for a sold-out show that was happening that night. They were performing a cover of "3 small words" by Misterwives for their show.

Your watch broke

And I hope that it stopped time

And that was the straw that broke the camel's back. Alex started sobbing. He couldn't take it anymore. He hadn't seen Willie in weeks and it was killing him. Again. Along with his anxiety that he already had, he had developed separation anxiety for Willie. He missed him so so much.

Luke looked back at his friend who was silently sobbing and not playing the drums anymore.

"Everybody take five," He said, slipping the guitar strap off his shoulder and walking to Alex. He knelt in front of him. "Hey. What's wrong?"

Alex launched himself into Luke's arms. It caught him by surprise but he wrapped his arms tightly around Alex.

"Willie. I. Miss. Willie." Alex sobbed into Luke's shoulder.

"Hey, it's okay. I know." Luke started rubbing Alex's back.

The two boys stayed there until Alex stopped crying.

They went back to rehearsal and finished what they were performing.

Later, Luke called Willie and told him what happened. Willie decided that he would drive to where they were since they weren't too far from California. He decided he would surprise him after tonight's show.

*time skip to after performance*

Everyone headed backstage where Willie had managed to sneak to during the performance.

As soon as Alex saw him, he ran into his arms, tears flowing down his face. The rest of the band watched as the two lovers were reunited.

Willie gave a kiss to Alex's head and then looked at Luke and mouthed a "thank you" to which Luke nodded and they left.

Willie pulled away and held Alex's face, wiping away his tears with his thumbs. "You okay?"

Alex nodded, giving a small smile.

Willie took him downstairs to a small room. "We really gotta stop meeting like this," Willie said.

This caused Alex to smile and laugh a little. "There's that smile. I've missed you so much."

"I've missed you more. It's been awful. Being without you sucks and it's so hard to concentrate on the performances when the person I love is thousands of miles away and I miss him like crazy." Alex ranted as he always did.

"Love? That's a big word." Willie smirked.

"Well... I do love you." Alex looked down at the ground.

Willie walked closer to Alex.

"I love you too," Willie let out a laugh, taking Alex's hands in his. "I fucking love you."

Alex looked up and smiled. "I don't want you to leave me."

"I know... but, Luke did tell me that the beds on the bus are bigger than most tour bus beds and that there was room for one more." Willie pursed his lips.

Alex couldn't contain his excitement. "Really?!"

Willie nodded.

Alex was so happy. He launched himself forward, placing his lips on Willie's. But the moment was cut short when Alex's phone started ringing. He pulled it out of his pocket. It was Luke.

"Hey. We're coming." Alex said into the phone.

"Okay. Hurry up." Luke replied.

The two boys smiled at each other once more before they headed to the parking lot. Willie already had his stuff on the bus and the two climbed in.

"Welcome aboard, Willie," Reggie said.

"Thank you," Willie giggled. "I'm super excited to be with you guys. This is actually my first time outside of California."

"Seriously?" Julie said.

"Yup."

"Wow. Well, it's been amazing so far."

"It truly has been," Alex said.

"Well, I can't wait."
