SONDRA
I got up & yawned. I had to work extra hard now. My new Master was kind & gentle, but his kids were out of control. I went to the kids bedroom. one had brown eyes, blond hair, & white chocolate skin. The other had blue eyes, black hair, & chocolate skin. They were newborns.
Kade came up behind me & hugged me. He kissed my cheek. We didn't live in a big place, but it was big enough for all four of us. Amun & Mua'ah lived next to us.
"We made some beautiful kids Sondra." Kade said & picked up John, the white chocolate baby. I picked up Leewana, the chocolate baby.
"I know. To bad they can't meet there uncle." I said.
"Yeah. Bishop was never meant to be an uncle."
Bishop still lived in the south. I heard he was making a lot of cotton this year. I just wished Bishop would let bygones be bygones
KADE
I didn't want to tell Sondra, but I knew I had to. I had to tell Sondra that I was drafted into the war. I went upstairs & saw Leewana & John asleep in there cribs. Sondra was in our bedroom, laying on the bed. I payed down with her & she cuddled next to me.
"Sondra?" I said & saw her brown eyes. "I've been drafted for the war." I saw a tear stream down her face.
"Don't worry Sondra I'll be okay." She just shook her head.
