Opposites do NOT attract

Emilys party

     "Emily please!" Eli begs. I sit down on the slightly uncomfortable couch in his living-room as he tries to convince me to go to another party. "No!" I whisper/ yell trying not to give in. "Please! It'll be fun!" He always says that. "Fine." I say giving in. He smirks in victory and leaves me to get dressed.
     As we step out of the taxi and walk inside the building I see James. He has been terrible to me for as long as I can remember. I look straight ahead.
     When we get inside, sit down and order it takes about five minutes for our drinks to arrive. As Im drinking mine I see James dancing with a girl I've never seen before. He notices me and starts walking over to me. What do I do? Please let there be someone behind me!
     All of a sudden no more water comes out of my straw. I couldn't have drank that much water. I check the glass, The water is completely froze. I imminently check the inside. How is this even possible?
      "Hey Emily." James says with his arm around the girls shoulders lazily. "Hi James." Eli says confidently. I push the sides of the straw together trying to break the ice inside. James sits there glaring at Eli for no reason before looking down and seeing my used to be water. His eyes widen in surprise before walking off. What was that? I get angry at him for some reason and decide to blow off some steam somehow.
     Suddenly the song changes to a slow song. Most of the people awkwardly stop dancing while the others keep dancing. Eli gets up and takes my hand. I give him a confused look as he drags me to the dance floor. He waits for me to dance with him.
     "Its just a dance!" He says trying to get me to dance. I eventually give in. "I can't dance." I whisper trying not to be heard by the people around me. He laughs a little and says "follow after me."
     When were done and driving home I realize he's still holding one of my hands. I awkwardly let go of his hand. He gives me a sideways look before looking back at the road.

Author's note: Sorry its a little short.. Im so excited, First chapter! I'll try really hard to update once a month. If you can't tell already there will be fantasy, action, and of course romance.
