After work, I decided to call my friend Emma to see if she wanted to hang out. She always cheers me up on gloomy feeling days like today.
"Hey Em what's up?"
"Nothing really just hanging out at home with a few friends."
"Could I come over?"
"Of course you can. You know you don't even have to ask."
"I'll be there in a bit. "It takes me about fifteen minutes before I make it to Emma's place. Before I could knock on the door, she opens it.
"Hey stranger." she says smiling. Stepping to the side so I can step inside.
"I know I haven't been coming around much. I'm sorry."
"Don't sweat it. Everyone is sickening to be around after a while."
"Oh please. I've just been busy lately. I'm still looking for a new place."
"Uh duhh you can live with me!" she exclaimes with wide eyes.
"Really?"
"Of course! We can spend much more girl time together if you do."
"Hmm...yeah I'd like to move in then!"
"Great! I'm sure Andy wouldn't mind helping you move in." Huh? Who's Andy?
"Oh yes I would." I hear a deep voice say from behind me. I take a step back as I turn around and end up face to face, well , chest to face to with easily the handsomest guy I have ever seen. No. That's not the word. There probably isn't a word to describe how this man looks.
"Why not? Scared of a little work?" Emma asks, bringing me back from my thoughts.
"I can do it myself." I say heading for the door.
"Where are you going?" Emma asks while following out the door.
"Home."
"But you just got here."
"I need to finish packing." I lie. I get into my car before Emma can say anything else. I don't think it was a good idea to agree on living with her. With him. Who is he anyway? What was his name? Andy? I think so. Emma never mentioned him before today. Maybe they're dating? He doesn't seem like her type, reckless, bad boy, something around those lines. Then again, he may be neither of those things. I'm just going by the tattoos and piercings...was that a bat man tattoo? Maybe he isn't a bad boy. Why am I still thinking about this? I left so I could try to forget his existence right away. Yeah, that worked.
