"I'm Just Me": A Ginny Weasley FanFic Book 1

Chapter 11

Ginny sat down at the Gryffindor table in the Great Hall next to Harry and Cora.
"Hey! That's Umbridge. She was at my hearing." Exclaimed Harry.
Ginny's eyes widened.

She could figure out, being the smart girl she was, that the Ministry was taking over Hogwarts as well.

Ginny saw Umbridge make her idiotic speech and also saw her grin evilly at Harry.

Ginny entered her dormitory with a sigh of relief. Never had her bed felt so comfortable.

Cora and Rose entered behind her and claimed their beds. Rose in the middle, Cora on the left side and Ginny next to Rose. But there was one more bed.

Ginny read the dormitory list of names out loud:
Ginevra Weasley
Cora Anderson
Laura Rose Thomas
Alexandria Stevenson

"Who the hell is Alexandria?" Asked Cora.
Ginny knew her.

She was part of the other group of third years last year.

"Remember, she used to share a room with Romilda and Katrina? Boy I felt for her." Said Rose

Then, the dormitory door opened softly and in came a girl their age.

"Hi. Is this the dormitory for fourth years?" She asked.

Ginny smiled. "Yup.  You must be Alexandria?"

The girl nodded. She was really pretty. She had dark wavy hair that touched her shoulders, a tanned skintone and hazel colored eyes. She had a smattering of freckles across her face.

Cora frowned.

"No. Alexandria is practically one whole sentence itself. No this wont do. We need to get you nickname!" She finished triumphantly.

Alexandria bit her lip. "Go ahead."
"Alexa!" Said Cora.

Ginny shook her head and Rose said "She's not an Amazon speakur."

Cora rolled her eyes. "Speaker Lau. Come on."
Ginny laughed. "Wait we haven't introduced ourselves. I'm Ginny. That crazy nicknamer is Cora."
Rose smiled. "I'm Laura Rose. Lau or Rose is just fine though."
Cora pouted. "I. Am. Not. A crazy nicknamer. But what about...Dria?"
Ginny wrinkled her nose.

"Dria? That's..interesting."

"How about Lexi? It may sound babyish but it sounds way better."

"Lexi it is." Said Alexandria.

"I am still gonna call you Dria." Said Cora.

"Whatever works. Good night. I'm too dead to unpack."

"Night creepers" said Cora already half asleep.

"Night."  Everyone else said.
Ginny slept happily.

She had made a new friend. Maybe this year won't be that bad. Only time would tell. But what Ginny didn't know, was that soon everything would come crashing down in a single second.
