Chapter 17

I held the envelope to my chest as more tears fell from my cheeks. The boys looked at me waiting for my response; I closed my eyes and slowly handed the papers to Luke. I felt Jai sigh heavily next to me as Luke read the writing in more detail.

'Is this 100% accurate?' Luke stuttered to the woman. She looked over her glasses and nodded.

'99.9% sure. Now can I please have a word with Lily'

Jai quickly walked out but Luke stopped, gently squeezed my shoulder before following his brother out into the waiting room.

'Now obviously you're not very far gone with this baby of yours so you do have options. Here are some leaflets for you and Luke to look through.' Her voiced seemed to soften slightly as she handed me some more leaflets. 'You don't have to make a decision right away but we do recommend you come back for a check up in 2 weeks and we can help you decide what you want to do'

I nodded and the woman smiled slightly, she clearly put on a front. I stuffed the sheets of paper in my bag and reached for the door.

'And Lily?' The woman stopped me. 'It'll be okay'

That was all anyone was telling me, 'it'll be okay'. But I can't be, especially not with Luke as the father. None of this was okay.

The drive home was even more silent than the journey there with Luke even being speechless. Beau pulled into the drive and the 4 of us walked into the house.

'Mum's coming home at 7, I'll leave you guys to talk' Beau mumbled before sloping off to his room, leaving me and the twins sitting awkwardly in the living room.

'We need to sort things out’ Luke broke the silence by being the responsible one out of the three of us.

‘What’s there to sort out? You two are having a baby together and I’m out of the picture’ Jai put on a fake laugh.

‘But it’s not like that! I might not even keep the baby and me and Luke aren’t together’ I sighed. I didn’t even know who I wanted the father to be and either way I couldn’t exactly be in a relationship with Luke now.

‘Well what about going to see and tell your family back in England?’ Luke asked, ignoring Jai.

‘I’ve looked at flights and there’s one on Wednesday. I’d have to take time off school because I’d be gone for about a week, but I don’t really give a fuck about school at the moment’ I held my head in my hands, my mind was spinning with things I needed to sort out.

‘What do you mean ‘I’? Me and Jai are going to come with you’ Luke reached out to my wrist and pulled it away, showing him my face. His eyes were full of care.

‘There’s no point in me going now’ Jai said sadly. I stood up and shook free from Luke’s grasp and walked over to where Jai was sitting.

‘You made a promise remember? That you would be here for me, either way?’ I repeated what he had told me a few days ago as I gently interlocked my little finger with his. He shivered at my touch but eventually he curled his finger into mine, showing he kept his promise.

‘Sorry’ he whispered. I sighed and leant my head on his shoulder as Luke joined me on the other side.

‘Off to England we go’ I said softly.

Becca’s P.O.V

‘Oi, Becs where were Jai, Luke and Lily today?’ Skip asked as we walked home from school. ‘Having a threesome eh?’ he laughed, slinging his arm over my shoulder.

‘No, I think they were pulling a sickie’ I lied, I was surprised Beau hadn’t told him what had been going on but it was best I kept him unaware for as long as possible.

‘Hmmm yeah I bet that’s code’ he winked, stealing my phone off me. I laughed, going along with his joke as I tried to grab my phone back. I wrestled him to the ground before snatching my phone out of his hands.

‘Feisty one eh? Beau says you’re like that in bed too’ he laughed, brushing himself off. I rolled my eyes and checked my texts: none from Lily or the twins just a few from Beau.

‘Can I come over to yours after you’ve finished school please?’

‘Oooo kinky’ Skip read my texts over my shoulder.

‘Oh shut up, I’ll see you tomorrow Skippy’ I hit him hard in the arm before speeding up my walk home.

‘Is Lily okay? How did it go?’ I asked Beau as I lay down next to him on my bed.

‘I don’t really know’ he mumbled.

‘Well does she know who it is?’ I asked warily. It may not have been me who was pregnant but I was still scared for her. Beau nodded slowly, I sat up, telling him to carry on.

‘It’s Luke’ he sighed.

‘Shit’ I mumbled, flopping down again. ‘Beau?’ I said after a few minutes. I sat down in front of him.

‘Will you visit home with me?’

‘What?’ he asked confused.

‘Lily was talking about it the other night and now it’s confirmed she’ll have to go home for a bit and I’m not going to go with just them three! I want my mum and dad to meet you too’ I smiled sweetly.

‘I can’t just randomly go to the other side of the world’ Beau shook his head.

‘Please? It can be an adventure whilst Lily sorts this shit out’ I leant over and straddled him, making him soften to the idea.

‘I thought you didn’t like adventures?’ he raised an eyebrow, pulling me further into him.

‘You’re different Beau Brooks’ I winked, kissing him roughly. His pushed me back so his was hovering over me and started to kiss down my neck.

‘Is that a yes then?’ I whispered, unbuttoning his shirt.

‘If I must’ he smirked before carrying on what I had started...

I'm sorry that this is really bad and short but I just wanted to get a quick chapter up because I'm going away for a few days and probably won't be able to write until the new year. So Merry Christmas to like the 2 people reading this story and if I don't write until then, happy new year too!
