This is it... I'm actually leaving this stupid little town for collage. I've been living in Paradise Hills San Diego my entire life and I haven't always hated it. In fact I used to love this place more than any other until I went to Los Angeles to visit UCLA my dream college. Honestly I have no idea what makes me want to move there so much. Maybe it's because my parents are so overprotective that I'm still not allowed to sleep over at a friends house who has a brother my age. Oh wait no I know, maybe it's because my parents still check my texts to make sure I'm not doing anything they consider "bad" which is everything from cursing or talking about boys. I'm 17 almost 18 years old and they still treat me like I'm a 10 year old girl. They expect me to be perfect with straight A's and a 4.0 Gpa. But in exactly 1 week, I will be settling into my dorm in LA leaving my parents and 14 year old brother behind. My brother marvel and I don't exactly have the best sister brother relationship but I'll miss him when I live 3 hours away. "Riley, did you pack all your bags?" My mom Madison calls. "Yea they're all completely ready to go and in your trunk." I respond. My parents definitely are not as excited as me for this change especially my dad Mike. He expected me to grow up and go to SDSU and live with him for the rest if my life but my mom was able to convince him otherwise. Sometimes I feel like he wants to tie me up to a chair and stash me in a closet to keep me from going and I wouldn't be surprised if he did. My mom understands my need to go much more than my dad because she too went to UCLA and didn't want to stay in San Diego until she met my dad and decided to move back. You know the saying "protective parents raise the best liars?" Well it's true. My parents normally give me 60 dollars when I go to the mall for clothes since they don't want me to get a job. Well I've been saving up the money for 6 years for a time like this. All the clothes that I've ever bought were ugly and out of style. Once I move to LA I plan on going on a huge shopping spree to spend the money that I've saved on clothes that I actually want to wear. I also plan on buying a car to get around easier and my parents gave me around 20 thousand which should be more than enough. I can't wait for my move. Oh and there's one more thing my dorm roommate is actually two people, it's a girl named Stephanie and her brother Cameron. I'm not sure why they live together and I'm pretty sure they're not supposed to but Stephanie and I have been texting a lot and she says that she'll explain it when I get there.

A/N
Hey guys this is my second story and I decided to make a new one because my old one was garbage and I LITERALY wanted to handwrite it just so that I could tear it into tiny little scraps lol. It was pointless and it had no meaning. So no hate on this one but you can go to my old one and curse me out because it sucks so much.
