"Alexandra darling remember to write when you arrive" my mother called out as i was rushing out the doors of blight manor.
"I know mother" I huffed whilst carrying my trunk to the small house elf waiting to transport me to kings cross station.
"Is miss Alexandra ready to go" the house elf squeaked clearly avoiding eye contact with both me and my mother who was watching from the doorway.
"yes Misty im ready" I smiled down at our family's small elf.
"Goodbye darling remember you represent our entire family there, I don't want to hear about any mudbloods interacting with my daughter" My mother called out as I left with Misty.

I arrived at kings cross station seconds later."ugh finally I can breathe" I joked to Misty who continued to look at her feet.
"Here is your belongings miss Alexandra, Misty must be going now"
"Misty i've told you, call me Lexi please"
"Misty is very sorry Miss Lexi it will not happen again" Misty sounded as if she could burst into tears at any second sending a pant of guilt through my body. I hadn't meant to upset the young elf.
"no need to apologize" I softly spoke while crouching to hug her, attempting to ease the clear stress the elf felt.
"i'll see you at christmas Misty, hopefully mother doesn't work you too hard til then"
She sent a small smile my way and quickly returned to Blight Manor, which had been named after my great-(some insane number) grandfather. According to my still living family "he created the most noble and pure house of all time".
I think it's all a bunch of horseshit.
If I was completely honest I couldn't care less about blood purity and had no intentions of following the dark lord. I would never tell anyone this though because I would be exiled from my lavish life immediately. I obviously know it's selfish of me to act like a pureblood asshole rather than speak my truth, but i'd rather have a fucked up home than been homeless. I knew in my heart that muggleborns were equal to us purebloods, Hell they may even be better because at least they aren't products of inbreeding.
I however didn't get to become friends with any muggleborns. When I had first arrived at kings cross station at the age of eleven, My parents had instructed Me on how to behave and who to talk to. They didn't know much about the wizarding families in England, as they were immigrants from Russia, but they did find out slytherin was the house of most noble purebloods. My mother and father explained that I was to only speak to the slytherins and learn "who had the proper ideals" from them. For my first year at hogwarts, most of my time was spent feeding them information on what the kids talked about, or more specifically who.
I had been grateful at the time that I was sorted into slytherin but as the years went on I envied the other houses more and more. They always seemed to have kinder and more accepting people, and obviously I didn't appreciate that blatant bias against my own house.
I walked down the cobblestones of kings cross station reminiscing on the past years. This was the last time I would be climbing aboard the Hogwarts express as a student.
"Lexi you're here" I heard the all too familiar voice of one of my best friends behind me. I met Pansy Parkinson in her first year after being sorted. I had already been at Hogwarts for 2 years but Pansy had no fear and walked right up to me and told me we were going to best friends. Now four years later i realize she was right.
"i've missed you so much, how have you been?, are you excited for your final year?, did you practice quidditch? because I really want to win this yea-"
