A hard goodbye

Vanessa was standing by the counter petting Mischief and feeding him some blueberries. Asra suddenly came bursting through the door, walked over to Vanessa and grabbed her arm as he said "Vanessa we have to leave Vesuvia now".
Vanessa tore her arm out of his grip and said "Why? Vesuvia is my home and I don't want to leave"
"We just have to leave, it's not safe any more there is a- never mind we just have to pack our stuff and leave" Asra explained.
"No I'm not leaving here, Asra. Vesuvia is my home. I got taken away from my first home, I got taken away from my family... I can't leave Vesuvia because it's my second home. I can't leave Julian, Nadia, Portia and Lucio. They are like family to me Asra" Vanessa said breaking down into tears.
"Fine, I'm leaving then. Don't expect me to respond to any letters you send" Asra said coldly and maliciously as he picked up his bag and left.

Vanessa walked over to the door and locked it before going upstairs and laid on the bed. She wrapped herself up in some blankets like a burrito and cried. Mischief followed her upstairs and settled down with her. "caw caw caaaw" Mischief cawed. 'where's friend?'
"He left, he wanted us to leave with him but I didn't want to because Vesuvia is our home now and i don't want to leave here" Vanessa answered as she pet Mischief. After had a cry and composed herself more, she got up and walked into the kitchen. She convinced the stove salamander to light the stove as she filled the pot up with water before putting it on the stove Vanessa got a cup out and some tea leaves to make her tea. Once the water was boiled, she poured the water into thr cup, then added the tea leaves and some honey. Vanessa picked up the cup and went back to bed. She wrapped herself up in a blanket before she blew on her and took a sip. Once she had finished the tea she curled up and fell asleep.
