"Aki! Are you ready?" Someone shouted. The male he referred to cracked his eyes open, peering out to the people that called his name. Aki sat up, turning around and looking at his roommate. "I'm... ready" the shorter male said. He stood to his feet, the wooden floor all too new to the male. He walked along the ground to his closet while his roommate, Tachiagaru, walked towards the shower. "Aki, remember to apply to the sport you want to partake in. I'm playing basketball, you wanted to play... volleyball, right?" He asked. "Mhm!" Aki hummed out. Tachi turned his head, eyeing the shorter male. "I don't understand you. You played basketball, hookie and netball in middle school. Now you play something completely different this year? Why?" Tachi asked, holding clothes in his hand and standing just outside of the bathroom. Aki looked up from what he was doing, a small smile on his face. "Because, I like sports," he said, matter of fact. Tachi eyed the shorter male, if he were to size him, Aki would stand at 5 '6 while he, himself, stood at 6'2. Even with the height difference, Tachi could never compare himself to Aki in any sport, even basketball. Aki had a rare gift, he was the best at every sport he played. Netball, hookie and basketball. He excelled at everything. This was something that Tachi knew. He knew because he admired the shorter male with all his heart.
"I'm gonna go get changed now. You have a shower, kay Tachi?" Aki said. The taller male remained emotionless, nodding his head and walking to the shower. Aki walked into his shower, turning on the shower to a cold temperature. He held his hand under the cold water before getting undressed and stepping into the shower. The cold water hit Aki's back, the coldness sending shivers down his spine. Another thing that you should know about Aki is that his hands were sensitive. He couldn't spike the ball. Nor set the ball. The reason why he wanted to play volleyball is because it was his next sport on his list. He wanted to play every sport there was. Volleyball was the next game. Aki ran his fingers through his long, green hair. Once deciding that he had finished, he stepped out of the shower, turning it off and getting changed. It had been a whole semester since he last played a sport. His home life consisted of work and training. He had practiced in volleyball, mostly aiming for blockers position. Though he wasn't tall at all, his jump was good enough for him to take the blockers position. Besides, his hands were too sensitive for spikers and ace.
"Aki, ready to head to school?" Tachi asked, looking towards the shorter male. Aki nodded his head, tying his hair back with a smile present on his face. It was time to head to his new high school, Nekoma high. Tachi and Aki walked together, they were best friends. But, Tachi admired the shorter male. They met in middle school, during the period where Aki played basketball. Though he was the shortest on the court, he became their ace player in a matter of weeks. He admired the male for being able to play any sport he desired. And at the same time, hated him for it. The boy could be playing basketball in teams against the country of Japan and yet he denied it all because of his dream to play every sport.
"You know, Aki. I've never seen anyone play like you" a man in a suit said, straightening his tie in the process. Aki smiles happily, feeling proud of himself. "Thank you sir!" He said, clear excitement found in his voice. "Well, we'd like to make an offer with you, if you wouldn't mind" the man continued. Tachi watched from afar as his best friend talked with the men. Not able to hear what that was saying, Aki shook his head before looking at Tachi while saying something that the ravenette couldn't pick up on. Not long, Aki walked back to his friend, a smile on his face. "What was that about?" Tacki asked. Aki looked distant from the world, not liking to say before looking up as his best friend. "They offered me a scholarship in basketball," the greenette stated. Tachi's eyes widen, now looking down at Aki. "What'd you say?!" he practically screamed. Aki's eyes softened. "I... I said no"-
"Ta...- Tach...- Tachi" the greenette waved his hand in front of the taller males, trying to gain his attention. "H-huh?" he replied, being brought back to the world. "You zoned out for a bit. You okay?" the shorter male asked. "I'm.. fine" he answered. Aki smiled profoundly, pointing to a door. "I'm this way... kay? Meet me in the cafeteria at lunch. Bye" with that said, Aki left. Tachi released a deep sigh, walking to his class. As he walked, he got lost in thought once more. Remembering the shorter male during basketball. Everyone never used to think that the male would be any good at basketball. His height, weight and skills were never one for inspiring confidence in the male. But to think that the least likely of players would get a scholar and even turn it down all because of his dream. Though Tachi hated to admit it, he was glad he didn't take the offer. Taking it would mean that he'd never see his best friend for months, even years. Tachi just went with the only thing he wanted to believe. "Aki's an idiot"
