On the train, Darah sat with the normal friends. Pansy, Crabbe, Goyle and Draco.
Around a quarter way back of the train journey, Darah decided to leave to go say goodbye to Harry, Ron and Hermione.
She slid the door open to their carriage and went to go sit with them. Crookshanks instantly jumped from Hermione's lap to hers, purring gently.
'I came to say my farewells for the summer.' She said, putting on a posh accent.
'Are you not coming to the Quidditch World Cup?' Ron asked her.
'Wait? When?' Both Harry and Darah said at the same time.
'A week before school starts.'
Darah swore under her breath. 'And I bet all the tickets are gone now, right?'
'Probably.' Ron sighed. 'Harry, mate. I think Dad actually got some extra tickets for you... and Hermione!' Ron exclaimed. He then turned to Darah. 'I might be able to see if I can invite you if you want?'
'No, no. Trust me, your Dad doesn't want to get involved with me this summer.'
'Why not?' Hermione asked her.
'I'm staying with Draco.' She averted her eyes from them, afraid of their reaction.
'In Malfoy Manor?!' Ron exclaimed.
She nodded slowly.
'Darah, no.' Ron put it simply. 'Have you even met the guy? And his father is a nut case. You know he was sent to Azkaban because he was a follower of you know who?'
'I knew he used to be.'
'Not used, still is!'
'Well what's he gonna do? You know who isn't around anymore.' She gestured to Harry. 'His scar proves that. So it's not like he's gonna dial Voldy on the phone and ask him to come kill his Son's girlfriend, is he?'
They all looked at her, not sure whether to laugh or be concerned.
Darah then acted out what she had just said in a silly voice, imitating Lucius and Voldemort on the phone.
Finally this made them laugh but they instantly stopped as someone opened the door.
'Darah. Teacher's compartment. Now.' It was Snape and Darah instantly felt obliged to obey. She let Snape go on ahead of her before quickly turning around and waving, putting on the same fake posh accent. 'Farewell my fellow friends. I may not be alive next time I see you but-'
'Darah!' Snape yelled from down the corridor.
'Gotta fly.' She slammed the door shut and hurried off after her father.
He slid the door open and gestured her to sit down.
'Mr Malfoy tells me you're staying at Malfoy Manor during summer.'
Darah gulped. He had probably pressured Draco or threatened him with a truth serum and since Draco didn't know he was her father he probably let slip the truth. 'Yeah. I am.'
Snape sighed, leaning his head on his hand. 'Why, Darah?'
'Because it's boring at home. Cokeworth is lame. I have no friends there, you barely talk to me. My only friend is Pooky, for Merlins sake!'
'So you and Draco are friends now?' He pushed.
She still had not told Snape about his memory charm failing. 'Yeah. We recently became friends.' She lied.
