The snow sailed slowly down to earth and covered the world snow white, and people were in hurry and get to the shops quickly where they knew it would be warm or hurry to the train and buses to head home to their families and loved ones. A spiked, tricolored head was walking against this flood of humans, to reach one shop, crimson eyes narrowed staring at his goal to reach it as soon as possible so he could get back home again. He really hated this season, hated to be away from his cozy home, but he did it for his lover otherwise he would be at home lazing arround and cuddling beside his love, getting every bit of warmth from their embrace as best as he could, but Christmas was near and he wanted to get him something special; so he went to a jeweler at the beginning of the year to make him something as unique as his love. He had even taken some mini jobs just to collect the money for the unique gift for his lover, he just hoped he would like it and not scowl at him. After dodging people he reached the jewelers and entered the shop, rubbing his shoulders and shuddering he slowly calmed down and warmed a bit up, going to stand before the counter and smiled at the jeweler who smiled gently back.
"Ah! Well if it isn't, mister Seba. What can I do for you sir?"
Yami had to snort, the man knew why he was here and Yami definitely knew it was finished, so he allowed his expression to fall and put his poker face on.
"Oh, mister Okami you know why I'm here.. Is it finished? I have the last payment for you."
Mister Okami's eyes gleamed up at Yami before he went back to his workshop and came back with a small black box.
"You're right I just finished it today mister Seba and I hope its to your liking."
Yami snorted and watched as Okami slowly opened the box and had to smile, it was perfect for his lover. He looked up to the man and nodded his head, smile still in place.
"It´s perfect..." he said as he ran his pale fingers over the precious piece and closed the box again, smiling at mister Okami and handing him his money, neatly put into a clip to make a bundle. "Here take it....we're done," he added in closing before he grabbed the box and left the shop with quick strides and get his scarf tigher around his neck, putting his hands in the pockets of his jacket to keep them warm from the ice cold weather. It wasn't any better waiting at the trainstation for his train, the buses didn't drive anymore as the weather had become worse and he hoped that the train would come and take him home soon, but as he waited, now for nearly a half of a hour, he was slowly freezing from the cold.He now walked back and forth to keep himself warm from the cold, hoping the movement would keep him warm and would look up every five minutes or so at the clock before looking again to see if the train was coming but as luck would have it, nothing came and he was slowly getting really cold.
Looking again at the clock he cursed under his breath, normally he would have met up with his lover in front of the restaurant by now, but he was currently stuck in the trainstation and there was no way he could head to the restaurant nor go home to his warm flat.
He felt around in his jacket for his mobile which had stopped working half hour ago due to it becoming too cold, but sitting down on the bank, Yami brought his knees to his chest and tried to keep himself warm. He blew some air out which came out in tufts of white showing how cold it was already and rubbing his upperarms with his hands he tried even harder to keep himself warm and keep from slowly freezing to death.
Looking at the clock again he noticed another half hour had passed and he knew, the one he loved had already left the restaurant and went back to his own home, likely disappointed in him, and Yami just wished he could call and tell him why and where he was, but he could not.Sitting exactly three hours now in the cold, Yami was freezing.
"I'm sorry..." he said, standing up and walking back and forth on the train platform to keep his blood running.
He got his mobile out from his jacket pocket and slowly started rubbing it with his cold hand, hoping to warm the small device up so he could call for help, but he was getting very tired, and it was hard to concentrate. He rubbed the phone a while longer and tried after ten minutes to get it to come on, happy when he found his weird idea had worked and dialed the number to Atem's mobile, his love's phone and hoping he would help him, but only got the voicemail.
Pressing the red button to hang up, he put his mobile in his jacket pocket again, where it bumped against the box, and getting the box out Yami sat down again on the same bench as before and opened it slowly, looking with sad eyes at his present for Atem.It was a bracelet made out of gold and silver in Egyptian styling, just how Atem loved it and some precious gems made it look even more like a old piece from ancient Egypt. He wanted to give it to Atem as a Christmas present, but closing the box again and putting it back in his jacket he rubbed his hands.
"I'm lost...." he said softly, his crismon eyes looking at his hands which were slowly turning blue and balled them into fists, findning even that action hard to do as some tears leaked out of his eyes.
"I'm lost," he repeated. "I'm sorry Atem....I love you...."
Shaking even more now from the wetness of tears on his cheeks, the cold reached him even more and made him even colder that he already was, and he went without knowing footsteps echoed through the train station and made their way to where Yami was sitting and waiting, and ignoring it Yami did not notice when someone put a warm blanket around him and whispered in his ear.
