Nothing felt more unsettling than looking at their decaying faces. Even though they sang of happy places, they definitely did not look like they were in one. Chica was a mess; dirt and grime blotching itself all over her body. She was horrifying.
But at least the kids seemed to like her.
You walked over to a small desk near the front, the paint on it was chipped and faded. A sign in bolded black letters read 'Check-In'. A man, who caught your attention previously when you came to pick up the application, sat behind it.
"What party are you attending?"
He questioned whilst cocking his brow, seeing as you didn't have a kid with you and you were a young adult.
"I'm not here to attend a party. I came to turn in my application for dayshift security."
He took the application you held outwardly in your hand, examining it. The blank expression on his face made you feel more anxious each second.
"This looks good. Let me check this in with the boss. Wait here."
He left the front desk, finding his way past the party tables and down a narrow hallway. Somewhere in that poorly-lit hall was the room where your future would be decided. Even if it wasn't a major part of your future, it was still apart of it.
You fidgeted nervously while you glanced around the room. The animatronics were still singing, staring off at nothing as they moved jaggedly. You sighed. If you were to be accepted here, you would have to get used to them.
The man returned, twirling a keyring around his finger, your application not to be seen. He approached you, holding out his hand.
"Welcome aboard."
You hesitantly grabbed his hand, shaking it.
"Thank you."

He led you to the breakroom, opening up a small locker that looked as if it hadn't been opened in ages. He handed you a blue shirt with some black pants.
"We only have mediums at the moment. You should go try it on in the bathroom. If it doesn't fit, let me know."
You nodded, heading into the staff bathroom and coming back out with the uniform on. It was a little big on you, the shirt feeling more like a large than a medium. You decided you could make it work, though. Maybe it would shrink in the wash?
"I think it fits fine. When do I start work?"
The man smiled, putting a cap on your head that said 'Security'.
"Right now."

The man who gave you the uniform, of who you now know as Scott, walked you through your schedule. You'd rotate through the rooms with a man named Jeremy Fitzgerald. Scott informed you that he's a bit jumpy. Apparently, he had previously taken the night shift and it had scared him off. You couldn't blame him. The animatronics were scary enough as it was during the day, you couldn't imagine how terrifying they must be at night. As you rotated through the rooms, Scott caught a glimpse of Jeremy. He called him over, the boy jumping at the sound of his name.
Jeremy was frail with a brown mess of hair that covered his vibrant eyes. You found him interesting, wondering if it was just the animatronics that had him on his toes or something else. As Jeremy approached you, he held out his hand. You could see it slightly shaking.
