Diluc stares at you and Childe with an emotionless look. Behind him was your adoptive brother, Kaeya who has a huge smile on his face. The blue head clapped both of his hands and gave you a thumbs up which made Diluc look at him with a provoking face.
"Ah- ehem, I am proud that our little (Y/n) found a love of their own. I totally approve of this relationship!" Kaeya grinned at Diluc which somewhat angered the red head more. "Just as long as he treats you right and we won't have any problem with that"
"No" Diluc spoke up. He crossed his arms and placed his right leg on top of the left one and gave you a frown. "I have been informed by someone that you decided to date a Fatui Harbinger and it seems that I'm right"
You were about to speak up when Childe beat you to it, "Sir, my intentions for your sibling is pure. I love them to death and I will protect them to whatever harm even if it's turning away from the Fatui"
Diluc's eyes narrowed as he study Childe from head to toe. He was still rather unsure if he wants to bless you two with his approval. When you and your brother met eyes, his stare softened. Eventually, he gave in and sighed. Diluc stood up, "Fine. If (Y/n) loves you very much but we have no other choice but to accept. But I swear if you hurt our sibling, you will be sorry, Fatui boy"
Childe flinched but nevertheless smiled. Diluc motioned for you to two to run along as he slump back on his chair, rubbing his temples as he was feeling a headache coming along. Kaeya gave you and two huge thumbs up behind Diluc's chair so he wouldn't notice.
"You should get out too, your presence alone makes my headache worse" Diluc glared at Kaeya, "Kids these days... always falling for the bad guys"
Once that you and Childe got out of the Dawn Winery, a relieved chuckle escaped out of your lover's lips as he realize that meeting your family was over. You two walked towards the garden area where the grapes were planted. Crystalflies that were scattered around the area flew away once they felt your presence.
"I never knew Diluc was... scary" Childe mumbles but it was still clear enough for you to hear. You laughed at what he said which made him pout his lips. "Remind me not to anger you in any way, you might tell it to Diluc and then he might probably kill me for that"
You elevated yourself with your toes, you placed a soft kiss on Childe's lips as if telling that there's nothing to worry about. The ginger head froze for a while but when you're about to pull away, he quickly wrapped his arms around your waist and then pulled you closer to deepen the kiss.
This surprised you but eventually you kissed back.
The kiss abruptly stopped when you felt Childe getting forcefully pulled away from you. He was rather surprised at the sudden feeling of getting dragged by his collar. When you turned to look who it was, your eyes widened.
"D-Diluc?!"
"Enough lovey-dovey, you'll get the grapes sad" your brother said and dragged Childe away from you. Your lover reached his arms, mouthing the words 'Save me' while getting dragged by your emotionless brother. "In the meantime, why don't you help me crush the grapes while we talk for a while"
A sigh escaped your lips as you see the chaotic scene in front of you. A warm hand rested on your shoulder and when you turn around, it was Kaeya with an apologetic look on his face. "He's been asking me to watch over you for a while now. After you and Childe got out of the Winery, Diluc immediately bolted up from his seat and watched you both through the window like a vulture"
"He truly cares for you (Y/n), though.. we should save Childe now" Kaeya chuckles and ran towards where Diluc and Childe was. You followed right after and quickly saved Childe from getting overworked by Diluc. "Excuse my brother for a while, don't worry though, deep inside he likes you for (Y/n). It's just.... he hasn't realized it yet"
Kaeya waved his hand as he drag Diluc away from the two of you. He quickly ran towards the Winery, still dragging Diluc on his collar. You sighed once that they were out of sight. Childe's clothing has grape stains on them, you tried wiping them away but the liquid seemed to have seeped beneath the cloth.
"I'm very sorry about that" you mumbled, "It's just.. Diluc is very much protective of me"
"I understand that" Childe laughs and ruffled your head, completely messing up your hair. "I would be too if I find out that my siblings introduced their significant others to me. So don't worry about me (Y/n)"
He then placed a kiss on your forehead, making you feel warm and fuzzy inside. Childe then intertwined his fingers with your own as you two proceeded to walk around the winery for a bit, admiring the beautiful Cider lake behind and the violet hue of the blooming grapes by the garden.
