When Langa first met Reki he learned three very important things about him: One, he loved skating. Two, Reki was extremely kind and selfless. And three, he was completely and utterly clueless when it came to love. Sure the boy was smart and had some common sense, but his brain seemed to never realize when someone was very obviously in love with him.

That's why it annoyed Langa like flies that he was so deeply in love with this boy and tried so badly to show it but Reki would just think it was a Canadian thing. Many times Langa even laced his fingers through Reki's and held the boy's callused and overworked hands and Reki would thank him for warming them up. If Langa were to be honest about his best friend, Reki was an idiot and lost cause when it came to love. Why, out of everyone in the world, did Langa fall in love with Reki Kyan, clueless boy extraordinaire.

Miya agreed as well.

"Your flirting is awful," Miya said as he took a sip of an orange drink, "But it's quite obvious that you're crushing on Reki." His eyes followed Langa's as the blue haired teen watched Reki intently. "Stop being so weird, it's like you're stalking him."

Langa's face flushed, "It's not weird! I'm just admiring him."

"Ha, gay." Miya said.

Langa raised an eyebrow, "Yes, the definition of gay is a man in love with another man Miya."

Miya facepalmed, "God you're even worse than Reki."

Shadow appeared beside them suddenly, apparently having been listening into the conversation, "Langa, you're gonna need help with this whole flirting with Reki thing."

"I blame both of their extreme stupidity." Miya said.

"HEY!" Langa exclaimed.

Shadow smiled at Langa and sat down, "Now let me teach you a little something on making people fall for you."

The next day after school, Langa sat down beside Reki on some stairs by the school building. Reki was sketching away at a design for a skateboard and focusing hard as he drew like crazy and erased things. His amber eyes flicked across the page and Langa stared at his side profile for a long time. Reki was just so cute and amazing and cool. Oh dammit, Langa was so, so in love.

He leaned closer to the boy, butterflies fluttering like crazy in his stomach, and planted a kiss on Reki's cheek. Okay, Shadow hadn't told him to do that, but all of his flirting tips sounded stupid and weird so Langa just decided to dive right in. Reki's face went red a little and he gave Langa a confused expression and an equally as confused smile.

"I didn't know you were so affectionate, you always seemed so shy." His grin widened and Langa started to feel as if he might hyperventilate, "Guess it's 'cause I'm your best friend! Nice to know that you're comfortable enough with me as a friend to do that."

Langa internally groaned.

Afterwards Langa walked over sadly to where Miya and Shadow had been watching. They all sighed.

Another day Langa did something very obvious, Reki was sure to understand what Langa was trying to do. Langa sat next to Reki at lunch and handed him his apple, which he didn't want. On the apple was a little note that he had written, in hopes that Reki would read it and figure out how Langa felt about him. It said:

Reki, I love you.

Reki took the apple and pulled off the note, opening it. He read the words Langa had nervously scrawled across the paper and Langa shivered a bit, his nerves taking over. Would Reki still be his friend if he said no? Would Reki say yes and would they start dating?

Langa had no clue.

Reki smiled and stuck the note in his pocket, "Awww, I love you too bro."

Langa had to stop himself from banging his head on the table. Later that day Langa informed Miya, Shadow, and now Cherry and Joe, of his new failed attempt. These attempts went on for another week and Miya began to become tired of this and absolutely enraged at Reki. Joe was constantly complaining about how obvious Langa was and that Reki was so dumb. Cherry was starting to grow disinterested in Langa's tries. Shadow was still trying to give Langa tips.

Langa was finally done, he would have to be more straightforward.

The next day was Langa's final attempt. The two boys sat together outside a local skate park, talking about skating with the others. Everyone laughed about random things in their life and Cherry and Joe were arguing, as usual. Langa looked at Reki awkwardly then he grabbed the boy's shoulders, pulling him close. They stared at each other for a while and everyone else around grew silent and watched.

"Reki, I am gay for you." Langa said.

Miya snorted and Joe said, "Shut up."

Reki looked confused, "You're happy for me? Why?"

Langa facepalmed.

"Oh my God." Shadow muttered.

Miya clapped in Reki's face, clearly angry, "He means he's homosexual Reki!"

Reki smiled, "Oh! I never knew. Good for you Langa, who do you like?"

"YOU!" Langa exclaimed, "I LIKE YOU REKI!"

"OOOHHH!" Reki said, understanding now.

"FINALLY!" Everyone exclaimed.

Miya almost cried, "I was starting to think this was all hopeless."

Reki then smiled, "I like you too Langa."

Langa smiled and then pulled Reki into an embrace, pressing his lips against Reki's. The two boys fell into each other's kiss, finally able to understand the other's feelings.

"Ew," Miya said, "Kissing."

"Shut up." Replied Joe.
