Life in the Land of Black Fire was easy-going and warm (refer to the constant black flames, or as called by the villagers, Eternal Fire. Fire blazes on and on, and when you light a flame when you cross the border to Kurogakure, the red toasty flame turns into an ominous black blaze. Campfire Marshmallows always had to be done out of the land of flames, because then if you tried to warm a marshmallow it would catch on fire and you would have a pile of black ash. To prevent any fires from spreading and causing Kurogakure to become the Land of Black Ash, was using powdered limestone, found in the nearby caves of Kurogakure. It was the only way to put out Black Flames. It formed when the Golden Sand of Sunagakure and the Blood Red River Combined and formed limestone. Kurogakure and Sunagakure's castles were protected by the Blood Red River, which caused painful death, and the Land of Black Sand, which was sort of like a sinkhole and quicksand. The black sand only allowed allies to walk over it, and enemies were sucked into it and sent to death. Of course, this altered Sasuke's relationship with Sakura, as she could not pass, so Sasuke could only meet her behind the Black Sands. Therefore, they were without the protections of the Blood Red River and the Black Sands, and out of reach of the limestone caves. It was dangerous, but Sasuke owned a small house, where the house was near one of the "veins" of the Blood Red River, as the Blood Red river had "veins" that connected to places, and so there was limestone in the river as well. The house was also near the Yin-Yang Waterfall, which was a peaceful place where the Blood Red River and Pale River of Light and the Blood Red River met, making a pink hue and it was a relative peace where people of both sides of the war liked to meet and talk and was a strict "no Bloodshed" zone. It was Sakura's favorite place because the water there was pink, and many trees grew there, including the cherry blossom trees. That was also the only place fruit could grow, as the Blood Red River could only supply people with Aloe Fruit and Kuro-apples, or black apples, as the limestone in the river had a small bit of radiation that prevented normal fruit from growing. The only successful things were Aloe Fruits, Sugarcane, Lettuce, Potatoes, Tomatoes, Most Vegetables, and Cacti (which Garden's lines along Sunagakure) and Kuro-Apples, or apples that were black and tasted strange, kind of like tar, and it was discovered that their juice could be combined with Sugarcane to create this kind of very runny liquid that could put out flames, and had a similar effect as strong wine, therefore Kuro-apple juice was called Black Elixir, often served at parties. Unfortunately, Kuro-Apples often grew extremely wild, like weeds, so it was kind of like one day you saw a plain field, the next day, it was littered with Kuro-Apple Trees. So again, similar to Black Flames, if you spread limestone on a field somewhere, or constantly watered it with Blood Red Water, no Kuro-Apple trees would grow. So people spread limestone and Blood Red Water over the lands, and so Kuro-Apple Trees (Or as people say Kuro-Apple Weeds) were controlled, so sure, Black Elixir would be like a normal average drink, like milk, because to get a Kuro-Apple Tree, just don't water a piece of ground and take off the limestone sheets and BOOM a Kuro-Apple Tree instantly appears. Therefore there was always a place dedicated to Kuro-apple trees in everyone's land, and Even Better, Black Elixir was easy to make because Kuro-apples had no seeds, and if they got too ripe (on the tree) the Kuro-Apple would erupt into Amaetarasu, so people also used Kuro-Apple with a match with a timer in it to make remote time time-controlled explosive bombs, so you could easily say Kuro-Apples were really important in Kurogakure.Every 365 days (1 year), during the first day of summer, the Uchiha Castle Fades into Darkness, where only Uchihas can come in and out, and Amaterasu becomes 3 times more powerful and spreads like wildfire. This was usually the day the Uchiha attacked people, with people using Susanoo to set things on blazes while flying across the Pale River. But the opposite day, during Winter, the Pale River freezes and so does the Blood Red River, so there is chaos in the Kuro since Flames cannot be put out, only with lime dust. Therefore they also attacked, but with great caution. On the first day of spring, the Chakra fruits trees provide several more bunches of chakra, and charge Konohagakure and their side with almost unlimited power, making them be able to shoot fireballs like miniguns, and have unlimited chakra, therefore techniques like Creation Rebirth became incredibly powerful, as usual, it takes chakra to mend you, but as you have infinite Chakra, you're basically immortal. This was also the day where major operations took place, as in medical operations. On the first day of fall, there is peace, as all trees and fruits get an overgrowth boost and everywhere is flourishing, including Chakra fruit, and everyone likes to go to the peaceful waterfall, where all the Cherry Blossom trees are blooming, and many marriages take place there, at that time. So Kurogakure had an upper hand, however there Ailey, the Shadow, often did not participate. However, the worst time for everyone is every 4 years, one day. Where Shadow Covers the lands, and monsters appear everywhere, however, the monsters use this to rally troops and hide their monsters, building up a huge army, but unknown to this, the 2 sides still fight, unknown that the monsters were most strong this day, and usually this day was the first day of winter, and Kurogakure's Eternal Flame ability is knocked out, which means Kurogakure people can no longer use black flames.
