You had lived on the maw for quite a while staying long enough to know everything that happens, you were very sneaky never getting caught by any of the strange monstrous creatures that inhabited the whole ship

You had your own room that was abandoned by one of the groups of guests, and food well of course was definitely not a problem for you, seeing as there was food basically sprawled all around the place

To be frank you thought the guests were disgusted, they didnt even chew their food they just gulped it all down, just thinking about it caused you to shiver in disgust

The only.. well main reason you even stayed on the horrid ship was because of this beautiful lady you had seen, she was tall with silky hair pinned up into a bun, you were enamored with her she rarely ever left your thoughts

She also happened to be one of the only things you couldn't figure out, you knew the chefs roles to cook, the janitor to well monitor the children and finally the guests of course being hideous and greedy sole purpose to consume anything they see

But the lady.. she was so captivating and interesting it just drew you in, you wanted to know what her purpose was on the maw

You had spent a few weeks examining where exactly she would watch from afar and you found a elevator that you had seen her enter assuming that was where her living quarters were

You were on your way back to the elevator to find the lady, hearing a loud commotion from your left ear you immediately glanced over eyes widening in shock, you could see a little child in a yellow raincoat running away from one of the chefs

You could tell just by the body language of the child that they were getting exhausted, stepping in for just a second you scooped the tiny child up into your hands disappearing from the sight of the chef once again

The child's breathing was very uneven but slowly gaining back air, you set them down carefully, watching them look up at you gratefully but they still seemed fearful, which was of course understandable, the child gave a wave and ran off in the other direction

You brushed off the strange greeting and hoped in your head that the kid would stay out of trouble, the maw was no place to mess around with, you continued on your journey to the ladies elevator

No complications interrupted your long walk, you walked into the room spotting the elevator just ominously waiting for someone to enter, you sighed feeling ready to finally solve who the mysterious lady really was

You already knew she wore a mask to cover her face, you just felt the unexplainable need to figure out why, slowly standing in front of the elevator you slowly pushed the button watching the elevator creak open

You walked inside without a second thought no hesitation, the ride up the elevator seemed longer than it actually was, the doors opened and you walked out looking and observing the surroundings immediately

You saw a small table and two chair like sofa's you stood there taking in everything new, straining your ears you could hear a low hum of a song enter the whole area, you were amazed the sound was so peaceful that it clashed with the harsh environment of the maw

You couldn't help yourself you starting to walk towards the staircase that was just beckoning you to go to it, so you did. You walked on each step listening to the humming had you in a trance like state of mind

Snapping out of the strange trance you stayed quiet but still continued to take careful steps towards the room, leaning over the wall you peeked inside the doorway spotting her

She was sat down in front of a broken mirror.. and she was combing her hair with a brush gently still humming, you marveled at how interesting she was up close

The second you took a step through the doorway and inside her room however.. she snapped her head towards you, now frozen in shock you stayed still ready to bolt at any given moment, she tilted her head to the side and gently set down her brush

You figured this was her first time seeing you. Yes you were not a big round guest or any kind of strange creature she was use to, this must have made you peak her interest

You were actually a few feet taller than her with H/C soft hair and E/C eyes that were watching her too with keen interest

She slowly lifted her hand and stepped expecting some sort of impact or unnatural thing to happen, to your surprise she was taking off her mask.. in front of you

Seeing her real face that was now revealed you blushed noticing how she was still just as beautiful as before suddenly her mouth opened and she spoke in a graceful voice "You seemed to have entered the wrong ship" she stated implying all the horrid monsters than lived here

Finally you spoke after staring at her for a few more seconds surprised that she well.. spoke
"Ive been here for years" this time it was her turn to he surprised she wondered how you slipped past her keen eye that was always watching.

It was days after your first encounter with the lady, you and her spoke often now, she regularly invited you to her quarters to have a chat and drink tea with her

To be honest you thought after she saw you that she would just kill you, but no she actually trusted you seeing as you never interrupted her well work, which you still didn't what exactly she did, everytime you brought it up she was just turn a cold shoulder to the question and bring up a different topic

But this time you were done asking her about the work.. you had to see what she did you needed to know, there it was your greed for knowledge itching its way into your mind

You HAD to know or else you would simply go crazy over it, like a snap of sorts. Since you knew exactly where she worked you decided to 'check up' on her.. really you were spying to figure out the bigger picture of it all

The door creaked open and you stopped fearing she had heard it, after a few seconds of being on edge you realized nothing was going to happen, stepping inside you shivered the second your skin met the very cold temperature of the room

Not to mention many strange mannequins and a lot of broken mirrors.. you noticed she didn't have a single mirror that was in tact, you remember telling her that she was beautiful and didn't need to fuss over her looks

You continued forward already feeling sick to your stomach from being in the room, it had a very dark feeling surrounding it

Up head you saw a bright circle spotlight making only that area light up through the dark black room that seemed to be getting colder by the second, breathing out you could see your puffs of air

Squinting you saw a small scrawny child with a mirror run into the bright circle, where did he come from?

Seeing the lady come out of the shadows she looked so mad you winced in wonder.. they seemed to be having a strange sort of battle, you knew you had to step in... but who would you help?
