Day 1:

Jiyeon laid in bed, eyes puffed and pillow soaked from tears. It was an unbearable pain, seeing the person you loved most in the world kissing another person.

With hesitation, she looked in the mirror, taking in her appearance.

Pathetic.

That was what she thought of herself.

Her fingers traced over her swollen lips, the puffy area hurting slightly to a touch. When she did so, memories of her times with Jaemin appeared. The vivid memory of their first kiss and the many after that. It all led up to her final kisses with him, the ones before she saw his lips against another females.

She stroked her own cheeks, more flashbacks appearing. All the kisses on her cheek he left, the times where they nuzzled close to each other, enjoying the presence of each other.

Tears welled up in her eyes as the memories flooded into her head. She loved him so much, it hurt her to see such a sight.

A sudden painful headache appeared, making her groan in pain.

With sluggish movements, she went to grab the pills on her old dresser— the pain relievers. Taking one out of the container, she placed it on her tongue and grabbed a bottle of water, swallowing down the pill and the beverage.

The headache didn't seem to go away and Jiyeon wanted to cry from the pain.

"Chunhei." Jiyeon called out and the said girl came through her door with worry on her face.

"What's wrong?" Chunhei asked as she stepped inside.

She knew about what happened with Jaemin and Yunhee, or at least she thought she did. The only people who knew what really happened were Jaemin, Yunhee and those soulmate fairies.

"My head hurts so bad." Jiyeon complained and Chunhei let out an 'ah'.

"Maybe it's from crying. You should rest some more. It'll hopefully be better by the time you wake up." Chunhei said and Jiyeon nodded, thankful she had her best friend during the hard times.

Chunhei left the room and Jiyeon laid back in bed, tossing and turning, attempting to become comfortable.

After much struggle, she finally managed to fall asleep, failing to notice the slight difference in color of the tattoo on her neck.

Jaemin spent his night crying, obviously heartbroken after losing the girl he had grown to love.

More tears fell from his face when he woke up that morning, not seeing Jiyeon next to him.

"Buddy I don't know what to do." Jaemin sobbed out to the dog who stared at his owner with solemn.

Buddy knew that the two were broken apart and he couldn't do anything. He was only meant to bring them together.

"Fuck I wonder where she's at." He muttered and a sudden thought appeared in his head.

"Her old house.. Shit I think I have it on my phone from the time I went before."

Jaemin had in fact been there before. It was to help grab a few things from there like clothes and other necessities.

Jaemin got up, face swollen from the cries he had and looked at Buddy with a sad smile.

"I'll be back. I have to fix things with Jiyeon." He told the dog who gave him sad eyes.

Jaemin quickly left his home, headache appearing but ignoring it. His only goal was to get to Jiyeon.

He finally arrived at the apartment, knocking harshly on the door as he tapped his foot in anticipation.

Not long after, Chunhei opened the door and an angered yet pity expression came across her face as she laid eyes on him.

"Jaemin? What do you want?" She asked, arms crossed and stern look appearing on her face.

"Is Jiyeon here?" He asked and as if on cue, Jiyeon came out of her room, holding her throbbing head.

"Chunhei, who's there- Jaemin." She said when she laid her eyes on the said boy.

All the pain from the day before came washing to her once again. Her fists clenched tightly, knuckles turning white.

"Leave." She said from inside the place.

"Please let me explain-"

"No Jaemin! Just fuck off already." She said as she made her way back inside her room, door slamming.

"Please Chunhei-"

"No Jaemin."

"You don't understand-"

"I'm sorry Jaemin but she doesn't want to see you and she's made that clear. Goodbye."

With those words, Chunhei shut the door on him and locked it.

Jaemin kicked the door out of anger before breaking down into sobs. He felt his knees give out on him as he fell on the floor, crying into his hands.

Before anyone walked out and came across his figure, he finally got up and made his way back home, knowing his plan failed and there was possibly no hope for him.

Day 2:

Jiyeon awoke, an excruciating pain hitting her the second she did.

"Holy shit." She muttered as she groaned from the pain, making her want to scream.

Small beads of sweat fell from her forehead and her hand habitually came up to the area. She felt herself slightly warmer than normal and got up to search for a thermometer only to feel her muscles aching.

"Maybe I caught something when running in the rain." She said as she stared at the temperature that showed on the thermometer- 100.6°F.

She went to tell Chunhei who immediately ordered her back to bed and made a soup, caring endlessly for the girl.

Jaemin laid on his bed, feeling the same pain that Jiyeon did.

Jaemin's eyes fell onto Buddy who seemed in pain. He let out small whimpers as he went to cuddle with Jaemin, hoping to relieve some of the pain.

Jaemin sighed as he got up and did his best to care for himself and his dog.

As he looked in the mirror, his eyes came across his tattoo, noticing the color already fading.

A sigh escaped his lips as his head dropped, knowing damn well what was happening.

He cursed the day that Yunhee arrived. He should've slammed the door on her face, he should have held his hand out to push her away the second he saw her body nearing his. He should've kept his distance.

All these thoughts added onto the excruciating headache he felt and led to more pain.

He spent his day putting Buddy's own needs before his, already knowing the fate that would happen if he didn't see her soon.

He wished he never met Yunhee. He wished he never allowed her to say a word. All these wishes, yet he blamed himself.

"Not this shit again." One of the men said out.

"Fuck this is gonna hurt." Another said as he observed the two, noticing their already weakening states.

"All we can do is hope for the best."
