You might be not the brightest person I've ever seen, but your smile is the brightest salvation for me.

=============================

Its been a while after I've arrived at this manor. I came here for a surprise. Searching something that could entertained me, aspiring my art. Meeting you might have the start of my goals.

"Edgar, you have rank match today. Be prepared~!" said Emma.

I just nodded and continue my breakfast. This manor is weird, creepy and full of mystery. Everyone have the same letter that brought us here, with different goals but the same determination. There is one particular person I found quite naive or maybe absent-minded? Its cute tho- uh- I mean foolish. Not cute.

The Postman who sit across mine here are that person. He's not a talkative person. He mostly quiet and would only answered when questioned. He might be a loner, but he was very considerate to other. He'd not hesitate to help other survivors within his capability. Indeed a support(s).

In this manor there is a survival game where us the survivors have to run away from the hunters and get out in specific terms and conditions applied. As we collect points for winning the game, we'd be granted a wish. Survivors had their own speciality traits. We all works together to achieved victory.

Talks about victory, The postman I tell you before. He goes by the name of Victor Grantz. When I first met him, he is a shy person. He keeps flushed and stutter his words. I thought that why is this kind of person joined a mercifull game like this? But when we once got matched for the first time, his bravery aspired me. He might be a little clumsy, but once he made a goal he'd give his all. I never met such an earnest person like that. As my past surrounding... Those people with a mask, judging others like they were better. Not even a bit they understand about true art.

I'd be lied if I say he didn't piqued my interest. I'd mostly found him played with his dog alone. Ah, but sometimes I'd found him having a tea with female survivors. I guess he was forced or simply because he couldn't say no. Among the male survivors I'd found him quite close with 2 man. The one with albino thingy and that snicker sly cunning pikachu! I'm not gonna talk about that pikachu, it'd pissed me of.

As mine and his relationship... I'd say we are just a teammates. We never had conversation with just the two of us. We barely spoke in match either. Just like now, we had breakfast together in silence. But its always one thing he offered to me whenever we met or passed each other.

His smile.

That curve in his lips, not even once it disappeared. I like it... I come to love it. The way he smiled, the way he blushed a bit by a few words he say. The soft giggles I'd secretly listen when he played with his dog. His presence became my daily dose of happiness.

People often told that I'm grumpy. Hard to approach. I'm not going to deny that, but the way people just judge you by the cover is improper. Different with Victor. He never talks bad about people, he wasn't even man with words but he took an extra care about choosing his words. His letter too, like a poem it moved people hearts.

Just like that, I came to love his all.

"Uh-uhmm.. E-edgar..." Victor spoke.

"Yes?"

"T-today rank match, I-I guess we are on t-the same t-team."

"Oh, really? Then, lets do our best."

"Yes!"

There. His smile again. The smile of him that I came to like. His well-being that I came to love. He might be not as bright as Sunflower. But no other flowers that shined like his smile.

My one and only dim sunflower.

Mine.
