"Of course I know about the book." The words came out of phlox mouth. The way she said it like it didn't matter to her. It made Betty glare at her. "I mean it makes sense doesn't it?" Her question seemed to shock the group as they watched Phlox rearrange her shop. It seemed no matter what she did..it wasn't good enough. "Veronica wasn't the first person this has happened to after all. It would make sense they would keep some kind of trophy." Turning to face them she caught the disgusted look ok Bettys face. "It doesn't make it okay!" Betty snapped. Ignoring the glare and warning look from both Cheryl and Veronica Betty went on. "If you knew why didn't you say anything?!" Glaring at the flowery blond. Phlox looked back down at the herbs in her hand. They were package in a lovely yellow bag with little pink and white flowers printed on it. The front had a small clear area so you can see what the herbs looked like. With cursive letters, it told customers what was in the small packages. To phlox, it looked cute and welcoming. Letting a small smile grace her lips phlox looked back at Betty. "I wasn't a hundred percent sure. Besides would you have listened to me?" Walking over towards Cheryl she handed over a package of dried red rosebuds. Turning to face the group she smiled. "Here. The store isn't running quite yet. Nonetheless please try these. Putting them in your bath water or just having them around for the smell." Handing over three small packages towards Kevin, Veronica, and Betty. Cheryl seeing that phlox didn't want to talk to them anymore came up behind her. "Now that is over..leave." Sensing that Betty wanted to continue their conversation and the rising tension in the small building. Kevin and Veronica were quick to start pulling Betty out. Right before left however phlox voice rang out. "Polly knew more than any of those girls. She knows a lot more too." Her voice seems a little detached. Walking towards she shut the glass doors and locked the door.

Later that day Phlox and Cheryl curled up in phlox garden. Cheryl couldn't stop thinking about Jason and Polly. They hadn't spoken about Polly. Not since the argument that occurred between them. It seemed after that night phlox pulled away from Jason or well Jason pulled away from phlox. Either way, they weren't the same. They didn't allow their ending doom to affect Cheryl too much. It still did seeing your brother/ best friend fight with your other half. They were all a whole together and now a piece will always be missing. No matter what they do. Running her fingers through the blades of grass Cheryl glanced over to the flowery girl. "ox..can I ask something?" The usual confident voice wasn't there, leaving a vulnerable quiver in its place. Phlox stared at Cheryl and only nodded. "When JJ started with Polly. How did you feel?" The mention of the older girl's name made Phlox tense up. Rubbing the side of her arm she looked down. "It killed me.." Making eye contact with Cheryl. "Because I knew that he wouldn't be ours anymore. Because no matter what things were going to change and they did." Letting tears gather up in her eyes she smiled at the beauty in from of her. "And now I know you'll meet someone too." The last sentence caused Cheryl to gasp. Pulling phlox into her arms they held each other tightly. "Oh, Ox! You know I would never leave you." They stayed in that spot for an hour or so before going inside. Cheryl, who had to go home. On the command of Clifford Blossom left soon after, leaving phlox to rub the same spot on her arm. In it's a spot of two small leaves. To someone who didn't know any better, it would seem like a random tattoo. But to three teenagers it meant too much. Because Cheryl was the red flower. A flower that meant so much love and passion. Phlox the leaves that bring a little bit more color to the stem. Jason had the stem. Only three other people knew about the tattoos. Phlox, Cheryl, and Polly. Only Four people know that the body of Jason Blossom didn't have its Stem.

Phlox held Cheryl's hand as they stood with Betty cooper. Watching as the book slowly burned. "Whoever killed Jason hurt him. Maybe Jason hurt people too. If he hurt Polly we're sorry." Betty ignored the broken girl's voice, she didn't want to bring herself to acknowledge it..she couldn't because if she did she would have to realize that they weren't Jason. They weren't responsible for what Jason had done. Instead, she chooses to walk away. Maybe if Phlox had voiced her thoughts all this could have been avoided. Maybe if Jason hasn't broken Polly she would be home, with her family. With her.
