I instantly awakened at the sound of a harsh thud downstairs followed by a gunshot.

Hearing my name being yelled from downstairs, I quickly scrambled out of my bed and ran across to my closet. I reached for the door and opened it, opening a heaven of several guns, my hand grabbed my signature pistol.

Cocking the gun, I raced out of my room and down the stairs until I arrived at the large closed double doors that opened to fathers study. I pressed my ear against one of the doors and stood there listening to a conversation.

"You know it's funny. I knew your father...well that was until of course he went behind my back and my men accidentally  plunged a knife into him. Oops." My father spoke amused.

"No need to feel bad, you did me a huge favour." This new voice was deep, dark and threatening. "Where the fuck is she?" He added impatiently.

Father chuckled at this as he responded "Don't expect a warm welcome. She's a fiesty one."

I took my fathers words as a cue as I pushed open the double doors.

The room was dimly lit by a tall lamp in the corner of the massive room. At the top of the room was fathers desk taken up by stacks of papers, a phone, pens and a framed photo of me, father, mother and Cole. Armchair in the left corner and a three seater couch to the right directly placed in front of the fireplace.

I brought my pistol up,  aimed it at the mysterious man and shot him in the leg in seconds. The deep grunt coming from the man didn't concern me as I sat down in the arm chair crossing my legs.

I reached over to the side table next to me and dropped the heavy metal onto it. I grabbed a glass half empty of bourbon, took a sip and smirked as I noticed a man on the other side of the room, slaughtered, laying on the rug with a pool of blood surrounding him. Another man was hovering above him with a cocked gun in his hand. Guessing that's what woke me up.

Father was sat in a chair behind his desk as he fidgeted with his phone. "Why did you feel the need to wake me up for this bullshit?" I asked father spiritlessly while taking another sip of the nearly empty bourbon. I tried to seem as laid back as possible as I nearly dropped my jaw taking in this anonymous mans perfect features. Clear, bright blue eyes. Dark messy wavy hair. Concrete jaw. Built rather muscular with tattoos scattered along his arms and chest. Dressed in a black shirt and black jeans.

I seemed to be lost in thought as I hadn't notice him stride slowly over to me. As I blinked back into reality, he was now hovering above me with his hands positioned on the armrests.
"Well well, look at you. Even more beautiful than the photos." He purred at me before caressing my cheek. I grabbed his hand and fiercely placed it back on the armrest causing him to slowly smirk as I glared back. "Let me guess. Your here to buy me, shame you'll have to join the queue." I exclaimed sarcastically, which only seemed to make him smirk more.
I glanced behind the mans very broad shoulder at father to see him still on his phone. I coughed to get his attention as I pushed the man hovering above me away from me.

Father glared at me before impatiently snapping, "Well what are you waiting for? Pack your bags!" He continued to stare me down until he brought his attention back down to his phone. "Well, fuck you too father," I mumbled rolling my eyes making the man standing in front of me to raise his eyebrows.

"What's your name boy?" Emphasising 'boy' which made his smirking grin fall into a dark and dangerous. He tilted his head and slightly squinted his eyes. It was like he was trying to figure me out. Good luck with that.

He scoffed before laying his hands on the armrests again. It was only now that I noticed he had a tattoo on the left side of his neck. A  bow and arrow.

"Bambina, watch that dirty little mouth of yours. You need to start respecting me as your owner, or you end up like him. Understand?" He gritted, pointing to the lifeless man on the floor. No. I'm not being treated as some little bitch. Rage. That's what ran through me. "Go to hell!" I gritted my teeth as I yelled my hatred towards him.

It all happened in a split second. He pulled my legs apart so that they were in a spread position and shoved his knee in between causing me to yelp. He then grabbed my neck so tight he was near to cutting off my oxygen.

Oops.
My instincts told me to get out of his grasp but I knew from experience it only makes them feel more powerful. So I sat still.

"Elia. Go. Pack. Now." At fathers stern voice, the man let his grip on my neck go and backed away."I guess introductions are over." I mumbled under my breath rubbing my throat. He replied calmly, "Hunter Ceraso"

His voice startled me. It wasn't deep or dark. It was clear. Right so the the tattoo makes sense now. Hunter.

As I entered my room and sat on my bed, I heard footsteps coming towards my room. Holding my breath thinking it was going to be father, I was relieved to see Cole's figure at the door. "Well you look like you were hit by a bus." He remarked as he crossed his arms over his chest. That made me chuckle a little. I realised I looked like a wreck as I was startled awake. I took my gaze into his glistening emerald eyes. "Cole, he's here. " I explained. His face held a look that said "I know" written all over it.

"I'm so sorry El.." Cole started before sitting down beside me on the bed and continuing. "I swear to fuck, if that dickhead touches you-" he added before I held my hand up interrupting him.

"Cole. You clearly don't know me. If he so much as lays a finger on me, I will cut his d*** off. " I stated giggling.

"Just remember, we're here if you need us. For anything. Especially if you and Hunter, you know, kick it off.." I raised my eyebrows quizzically. He widened his eyes realising how wrong that sounded. "No! I d-don't mean that! I meant if you get into a fight or whatever, I know you. You don't back down." He added defending himself. "Unless of course.." he wiggled his eyebrows at me as he smirked.

"GET OUTTT!" I yelled teasingly pushing him out the door and down the hall before going back into my room.
Hearing him chuckle from his room made me giggle as well.

I had just finished packing and was getting in the shower. I stood there while the warm water slid down my skin.
What we're his intentions with me? Why did he want to buy me?  Was it to get revenge?

I tranced back from my thoughts and started turning off the water and drying myself off. I pulled a towel around my body and walked out of the bathroom heading towards my bed when the door suddenly opened. I gripped my towel tighter to the point where my knuckles were white. Hunter was leaning against the door frame. He wavered his eyes up and down my covered body stopping at my chest. I raised my eyebrows, "Eyes up here Romeo"

"You know, you're a feisty little thing" he stated. Something in the way he was gazing right into my eyes was telling me he was curious about me and wanted to know more. "I guess that's what happens when you take after a cranky asshole" I sighed referring to father. "There's a lot of tension around you too, what's the story?" he asked tilting his head.

"What do you mean?" I asked as I walked over to my closet and picked out what clothes to wear for the day. I was trying to dodge the question.

"Elia look at me" he ordered darkly. His voice sounded...closer. I spun around on my heels to find him just inches away from his face. My heart beat got faster as he spoke. "Does he do anything to you?" I knew what he meant.
