"Bitches, it's time to party!" Annalise screamed as she enthusiastically ran into my room, clutching a brightly colored watermelon Vodka in one hand and Mike's Hard Lemonades in the other.

The blonde beauty shook the bottles at us, her giggles giving away her drunken state.

Annalise's hair was slightly frizzy at the roots; however, her make-up lay flawlessly on her skin.

Zoe spun around from the dresser in the corner, glaring at Annalise with her cold, sapphire eyes.

Her long, pin-straight hair, pulled back into a slick ponytail, whipped like a horse's tail. "Where did you get those?" she demanded.

"Caroline and I brought our fakes and we bought a shit ton of alcohol at our first rest stop. Now let's goooo, everyone else is already downstairs!" Annalise wagged the bottles in our faces before darting out of the room toward the stairs.

"You guys don't want to party?" I asked, half hoping they'd want to go downstairs because, after the day I've had, I needed a little alcohol.

"I wanna get the unpacking done now, so I don't have to do it drunk or when I'm hungover tomorrow..." Zoe replied as she opened her drawer to finish folding her clothes.

The view from the backside of the beach house was breathtaking, the ocean quiet and calm, the water glistening under the moonlight.

I decided to take a breather outside as the music blared loudly throughout the house.

Sweat dripped down my overheating body as I dodged my drunk friends, who were screaming and running around like madmen.

The brisk air cooled my warm face as I slowly strutted toward the glittering pool.

Leisurely, I sat down by the edge, the coolness of the concrete sending goosebumps over my exposed skin. I slipped off my socks, dipping my toes into the warm water.

Closing my eyes, I let the wind blow my ash-blonde hair back out of my face. Sighing deeply, I let all my worries from today wander off with the wind.

After a few minutes of quiet, I was suddenly taken out of thought by the light thud of doors closing behind me and the sound of bare feet tapping on concrete.

Vincent sat down next to me, softly laying his hand over mine.

Tenderly, he placed a kiss on my temple before asking, "You okay, Ivy?"

"I just need a break from everyone. It's been an overwhelming day...especially with Caroline and AJ being so weird to me lately." I slowly picked up my head and looked up at him. His soft baby blue eyes glittered like the stars.

"Wanna talk ab--" Before he could finish, someone came flying out the doors, the light pitter-patter of the feet indicating it's a girl.

I turned around to see a crazed Bella, her honey-blonde curls bobbing as she bounded towards us.

She smiled a toothy grin before she pushed me into the pool.

The warm water encased my body as I fell in, and when I surfaced, Bella was laughing her head off with Vincent scolding her.

Unintentionally, I tucked my hair back behind my ears while gliding through the water toward Vincent.

I rested my arms and chin on the edge of the pool, taking in the calming warmth of the water around me.

Ignoring Bella's cackles, Vincent looked down at me and asked, "Have I ever told you how beautiful you are?"

I rolled my eyes, trying to hold back a growing smile that forcibly pushed at my lips.
