Michael liked calling people by old slags like homie, bro,sling-shot, homerito, step-bro, dawg, and other names. It had always been the same. He also liked fist-bumping other kool kids if they weren't wiggity wack to him.
He enjoyed talking like that to the students in his school. But Sometimes the kool kids gave him weird looks after he said cool-beans or dawg. He tried to brush it off but sometimes he was sad that they didn't understand his "fresh" language. He also didn't have many friends. His twin brother, John (or Hose as some call him) sometimes wasn't even his friend. It just wasn't easy peasy cheesy squeezy lemon in life... until he met a salty gymnast.
During snack, he sat down alone eating an orange peel. He sniffed and pushed his glasses up. Out of the corner of his eye, he could see a short brunette girl staring at him at a different table with her friends. he took another bite and turned his neck to look back at her. The girl quickly turned her head back, pretending that nothing happened.
He grinned. That was the girl who slapped him on the back of the head. Many times. He called her Samuel but her real name was Sammie.
Just from that one look, Michael started to notice her more often. In science, he was right next to her. He noticed she had freckles and sharp intimidating eyebrows. He looked at her for about 2 minutes until Sammie became a little uncomfortable. "What are you looking at Michael?" She raised an eyebrow. Sammie expected Michael to respond with, "Your mustache m'lady." or something stupid among those lines. But today was different. Instead, Michael simply replied with, "You Sammie." Surprise, she blushed. "You're so dumb.." She replied and gathered her books to go to the next class. He didn't even call her Samuel.
What was a one time-thing, turned into an everyday thing. Michael sat with her at the lunch tables dropping his stupid jokes, remarks, and random WWII facts.
Sammie was confused all week, madly blushing in embarrassment. Her friends around her laughed. The short girl had enough of all of this weird " Michael phase." She decided to call him to the playground at lunchtime. It was February 14th.
Confused, Michael came over "Ayo Sammie what's up dawg?" he asked, climbing up a green slide. Sammie sighed, Of course, once she confronts him he'd her "dawg". she continued anyways, on the bottom of the slide. "Hey why are you acting like this...it's not like you," she asked. On the top of the slide Michael said " I dunno, you get mad at me for acting like myself so I want to change for...you." Sammie quickly pondered the answer. "Uh... you don't have to-" suddenly Michael slid down the slide all the way down.
He jumped at her and embraced her. Shocked, Sammie felt overwhelmed and confused "Wh-Why are you wrapped around me?" She asked. Once again Michael simply said, "Because you're my Valentine present." The short girl slowly put her arms around him as well. "That makes no sense Michael." She laughed.
Ring.Ring.Ring.. the bell rang.
Michael removed his hands around Samuels back, and on her shoulders. He then leaned down and kissed her for a quick three seconds. Shocked once again, Sammie smiled and said. " Your soo dumb." She kissed him back for longer. She winked and fastly said "See you "dawg"." and ran off to her next class.
Dumbfounded Michael smiled. " See you," he said.

Michie - More than a "dawg.."
FanfictionMicheal had always been the one kid to call everyone homie, dawg, or any other weird nickname- he just was a tad bit different. Nobody would like an awkward guy who calls everybody home-slice...right? P.S. To all the sammies and Micheals out there...
