"I feel weird wearing anything but my kit." Lilah comments as they walk towards Vitesse's Stadium. Declan walked beside her, the twins in front of her and the two girls in front of the twins, the brunette looking down at his best friend momentarily.
"What did you wear when you weren't at work?" Declan laughs.
"Joggers and a hoodie obviously." She replies sarcastically. Declan rolls his eyes at her as they reach the stadium, the six of them making their way through the gates without much struggle.
"Don't disappear on us." Declan speaks, looking over at Lilah who'd disappeared already. Declan laughs to himself a little, looking for her in the crowd of people before he eventually watches her scurry away to find Mason.
"She's gonna get in trouble." Aila comments before the 5 of them find their seats. Lilah slips past security unnoticed and walks down the hallway with a spring in her step, her curled blonde hair moving side to side.
"Hey, you shouldn't be down here!" She hears someone shout, the girl rolling her eyes just as Mason appears in front of her.
"Hi." He grins at her.
"Hey." She grins back, the girl knowing the security guard was coming her way.
"I gotta go before I get kicked out." Lilah huffs, the blonde going to walk away until Mason grabs her wrist and pulls her back.
"Ah ah, good luck kiss." Mason beams, watching her shake her head before she presses her lips to his softly.
"Hey, I told you that you can't be in here!" The guard shouts, noticing Lilah's blonde hair.
"Told you I had to go." Lilah laughs before the guard starts coming towards her. Mason pecks her lips quickly before she walks away, the girl running away from the guard whilst Mason laughs at her. She slows down when she reaches the stands, the girl sitting in her seat between Declan and Josh.
"Chased again?" Declan asks as she moves her sunglasses onto her face, the group sat directly in the sun.
"Of course I was." Lilah laughs, sitting back in her seat for a moment before Vitesse came on. All of them stood up and cheered, Mason looking right at them with a beaming smile before he turns away in fear of getting in trouble.
Lilah watched the whole game with a beaming smile on her face, Mason thankful that his friends were here to see his last game with Vitesse before he made his way back to England for the next season.
Both hun and Lilah were nervous to see whether or not they'd be starting with Chelsea in the next season, and Lilah had a gut feeling that she would be because of how she'd performed with Leicester City. Her gut was also telling her that Mason wasn't going starting with her in the next season and it was scaring her.
They'd always said to one another that they'd start together no matter the circumstance, and she even went so far as to promise him she wouldn't start without him, but now she had a chance at getting onto the starting 11, she wasn't so sure she could keep that promise.
Maybe he wouldn't be so bothered, maybe he would be proud of her and would completely forget about their promise to one another, but maybe he wouldn't, maybe he'd get annoyed at her and say she can't start because they had that promise with one another.
"Oi, games ended and your boyfriend isn't on the pitch anymore." Declan nudges her, the girl snapping out of her thoughts to see a fairly empty stadium and her friends all gone apart from Declan.
"Oh, shit, sorry." Lilah replies quietly, grabbing her bag from the floor before she walks out, Declan furrowing his eyebrows at her as he follows her.
"You okay? You didn't even cheer when Mason scored." Declan informs her.
"He scored?" She questions in response.
"Yeah, just after the second half." Declan replies. She shrugs just as they approach the rest of their friends, the girls hugging Lilah softly before they all make their way outside to wait for Mason.
Mason made his way outside and wrapped his arms around Lilah from behind, startling her a little until she realised it was him and she leant back into his embrace. Aila and August were secretly fangirling on the inside, the two girls been rooting for them both since they met Lilah.
"Everything okay Angel?" Mason questions softly, making sure no one else could hear him.
She nodded in response, leaning her head against his chest tiredly before everyone set off walking back to Mason's apartment. Mason kept his hand firmly in Lilah's, the brunette participating in a conversation with the rest of the group as they walked.
"See you lovebirds tomorrow." Joshua calls before they all make their way to the hotel across the street. Lilah and Mason made their way to his apartment, the girl sighing in relief when they get back.
"Mace?" She questions.
"Yes?" He replies, watching her sit down on the sofa.
"What happens if only one of us gets started next season?" She questions. Mason looks at her with confusion for a moment before realising what she's going on about.
"Then you start without the other person." Mason replies, watching her nod.
"But we had the deal." Lilah sits forward, leaning her arms on her knees and her head on her hands.
"Look, I know it's more likely that you'll start this season and I won't, but don't let our childish deal get in the way of you playing with the team. We were what, 12?" Mason kneels in front of her, moving her hair out of her face for her.
"I know but this was your dream way before it was mine, I feel like I'm stealing it from you." Lilah sighs, feeling her boyfriend caress her cheek softly.
"It's both of our dreams, just because I had my sights set on it first doesn't mean I'm gonna get jealous of you being there before me. There's always the chance we both play, both get loaned or one gets played and the other doesn't, but one day we'll both be playing together, and then our dream has come true." Mason reassures her softly, pecking her lips softly.
"Let's hope we both start this season." She sighs in response, running her hands through his hair softly which immediately makes him soften up and lean into her. She giggles softly and presses a soft kiss to the top of his head, the two of them cuddling until Mason's phone started ringing.
