"George just tell me you love me."
"George why don't you love me?"
"I love you, why don't you love me?"
"I will always love you, George!"

Why was he such an idiot?! If he had just said 'I love you, Dream', he wouldn't be sat here whilst Dream's off living a happy life! Why didn't he tell him he loved him? Allow me to explain.

It had started off as a normal day, a completely and utterly normal day. Dream, Sapnap and George were messing about like usual when the conversation had turned towards the topic of love.
---
"Do you love anyone, Dream?" Sapnap asked, performing some parkour whilst Dream watched from the side-lines. Sapnap missed a jump and ended up in the water, causing George and Dream to laugh.

Once Dream had calmed down from his wheezing, he finally answered the nineteen-year-old's question. "Well, you know I love George." Dream replied. Luckily his mask hid his blush so neither could see it, especially not George. He was fairly sure George was convinced all of this was just a bit, but it wasn't. Not to Dream. Dream genuinely loved the colour-blind brunette, yet he didn't return those feelings.

"And you, George? You have anyone you love?" Sapnap asked, reattempting the jump he had missed earlier and succeeding. "Yes!"

"Good job," George congratulated. "But, no, I don't. I don't have anyone I love in that way in my life currently." If the idiot had turned around he would have seen how Dream was readjusting his mask, meaning he would be able to see the man's face. Not only would he be able to see the man's face, but he would also be able to see the heartbroken look on his face.

Quickly putting on his mask, the dirty blonde made up a quick excuse to leave the two and made his way towards a secluded part of the forest, away from L'Manberg and the SMP.

"Why can't you just admit that you love me? I love you, why don't you love me?" Dream murmured, sliding down a tree and sitting with his head in his hands, fighting back the tears that threatened to flow down his scarred cheeks.

The mourning man failed to notice the rustling of leaves before a gentle hand rested on his shoulder. Dream flinched, looking up to see the girl who had first caught his attention, Sophie.

"Are you okay?" the kind-hearted girl asked, taking a seat next to the saddened man. Dream merely shook his head 'no', not bothering to elaborate. Sophie didn't push him to tell her. It wasn't her place to do that. "How about we go look at the sunset? If we're quick enough, we'll be able to watch the sun dip!"

Dream couldn't help the soft smile that graced his face as he nodded and allowed the redhead to help him up, the girl practically dragging him towards the biggest hill around the main hub of the SMP. As they reached the top, the duo was bathed in beautiful golden rays as the sun set below the horizon, giving way to the moon.

"Wow," Dream breathed, the rays reflecting off his porcelain mask. Sophie smiled and took a seat at the edge, Dream following shortly after. "How did I not know about this place? It's magical."

Sophie chuckled lightly, the broken tea kettle impersonator's attention drifting towards the green-eyed beauty beside him. "Some people get too distracted by other thing in their lives to admire and notice the natural beauty around them," she replied, never taking her eyes off the setting sun.
