Undeserved Consequences||Gabriel x Nathalie

-Prologue-

Nathalie's POV

I have worked for Mr. Agreste for a while now. We first met in college a long time ago along with Mr. Bourgeious and Mrs. Bourgeious. Gabriel Agreste is a really strong man who certainly won't give up on something he wants.

I help Mr. Agreste watch over his son and accomplish his goal of acquiring the miraculous of destruction and creation. Sometimes I think that I may be more than that but I know it's just my imagination.

Mr. Agreste is very busy today, he is planning to find the strongest person in Paris to akumatize. He is always so convinced that his plans will work every time. It's charming.. but I think he is starting to notice he can't just akumatize anybody is who upset. He actually needs to think about who he akumatizes now that Ladybug and Cat Noir have help.

I walked to Adrien's room to make sure he was practicing his Chinese but yet again he was gone. "I am going to get in soo much trouble." I looked around frantically before Mr. Agreste found out his son has escaped once again.

I sighed of relief as I saw Adrien walking outside of the mansion. He was just walking around the statue of his mother. "Adrien, your father has requested that you practice your Chinese right now." Adrien looked up at me and replied, "Oh sorry Nathalie. I just wasn't feeling good enough to practice at the moment and needed a breather. I will go straight to practicing right away."

Adrien is a sweet boy that doesn't get much attention from his father. So the moments they share together really are special. To them and to everyone around. I just want to see both of them happy so I try not and intervene in any way that would hurt any of them.

I glance over as I see Mr. Agreste exiting his room with a frown. Seems like he must've failed yet another attempt. I head back inside the mansion as I see Adrien has made it to his room. "I should probably watch over Adrien and make sure he doesn't get out of his room but I am so tired." I think to myself. Watching over Adrien isn't a problem, watching over Gabriel is. I don't necessarily watch over Mr. Agreste of course but working for him and helping him as Hawkmoth has drained my energy recently.

The sofa in the corner look rather inviting so I went over and sat on it.

3 hours later.

Gabriel's POV

"Nathalie? Nathalie??" I looked at my assistant peacefully sleeping on the seat. "Are you okay?" She was breathing but not responding. I didn't like that especially with what happened to my beloved Emilie. He shook her slightly and held his breath. Nathalie woke up and looked rather flustered. She looked at me in the eyes then caught herself, "I am extremely sorry sir! I swear I didn't mean to fall asleep it was accident. I'm so so so sorry." It was already a bad day today and I really didn't feel like making it worse by lecturing Nathalie. "It's okay, I don't want to see it again. When you get home get some extra sleep."

She always listened to me and never slacked so this was definitely unusual. I hope she isn't keeping anything from me and everything is really okay. Today I akumatized Kim again because he seemed the most physically fit out of the people in Paris and I hoped that I could make him into some sort of monster that could really help me. Of course Ladybug and Cat Noir caught the Akuma with ease. It's almost as if all my plans are jokes to them.

I groaned to myself.

I just want my Emilie back to be here for me and Adrien. Our worlds would be so much better if I had the two miraculous to make a wish for her back. It would even do everybody else a favor because she is wonderful.

I turned around and walked over and went down to my basement. My beautiful Emilie was laying there. "Hello beautiful. I am trying my best to bring you back. I will do it really soon I promise. You're the only reason why I am here and I will bring you so we can go back to the way we used to be. Adrien really misses you and I am sure everybody in this house does." I looked down at the floor and sighed. Being without my love is hard but it is much easier that I have people like Nathalie on my side. She really is a good assistant.
