Forever and always

Chapter 10

'Snow White auditions will be held in the auditorium on the 10th and 12th of September at 3:00 pm'
Oh shoot, that's today. I really loved taking part in my school plays and this time would be no different. This year we were having one of the biggest charitable functions that withmore high had ever hosted. This event was for all the underprivileged children from all parts of the country. It would have been an honour if I got to take part.

It had been over two weeks since the party, Nina Brian and I decided to ignore Daniel and katty for a while. The plan was that Brian and I would pretend to date, and show off our newfound relationship to Daniel.

I hadn't spoken one word to Daniel since the past two weeks. Brian and I laid low and did silly things like walked into school together, caught hands in the hallway, always stayed together during lunch, classes and all. In a way it brought us closer and I'm sure that Daniel thought that we were together, cause he had been trying to get a hold on me since a while. He texted, sat near me in classes, tried to talk to me at lunch, but I was on a strike. I didn't utter one word in reply. As for katty, she had been dodging me ever since.

" Meet me in the gym asap" I got a text from Nina.
School was over and I waited back after seeing that notice for the auditions, considering that I had a lot of time at hand I decided to go.

"Hey Nina" I said as I entered the gym.

"Hi....listen I was wondering if u wanted to take part in the Snow White play?"

"Uh yea I do" I replied.

"What role?" She asked.

"Snow White ?"

" Oh this is war, don't u know that Kate is auditioning for Snow White as well?" Nina said.

"Okay, good for her " I smiled.

"That's the spirit" she smirked.
"Ull be perfect"
"Anyway let's go to auditorium, it's about time"

We walked towards the hall which was dark and had only a few stage lights on at the time. We both signed our names in the audition book and sat right next to miss B (Beatrice).

First was the audition for the prince, and after a million boys, to my surprise came Brian. He was brilliant and fit the role perfectly. Just as he was done we all cheered and knew that he'd get the role.

When the time came for the audition for the role of Snow White , I felt nervous and after a long wait came katty's turn.
She was phenomenal and the way she read out each word was beautiful. She really had a good chance for the role.

When my name was called out I wanted to run out the door and pretend like I never came here. I had butterflies in my stomach, I was so nervous that i almost stumbled over a step. As soon as I reached the centre of the stage, I took a deep breath and started my performance.

"The queens order? What do you mean the queens order?"
"Please please let's go back, this place is frightening me, your frightening me" I said in a hushed scared tone.
"Please! I-I beg you, don't hurt me" I pretended to trip over a stone and sat on the floor almost in tears begging for my life.
"I didn't do anything it isn't my fault. Please. Let me be" i covered my face with my hands trying to dodge the fake axe. My face was pale and my eyes moist. I got up and read a few lines from every scene, my expressions changed accordingly.......

Soon I was done and I simply said thank you. In a matter of seconds the room was filled with cheers and applause. I smiled and came down the stage gracefully. People complimented my acting and said that I was amazing. I blushed excessively. When out of the blue, katty came to me and said "well done Sky."
