Thomas POV:

"WAKE UP DADDY! IT'S FATHERS DAY!" yelled Anthony. I can't tell if it was being woken up by Anthony's screams; or if I was getting sick, but I had a massive headache.

"Daddy look! I made you a card!" Said Anthony. I rolled over on my side and fell back asleep.

Anthony went back downstairs. I didn't mean to ignore him, but I'm glad he left and I got some extra sleep. I was sleeping fine until Angelica came upstairs.

"HOW DARE YOU IGNORE YOUR OWN SON!!! AGAIN!!! I CAN'T BELIEVE YOU!!!" she yelled.

I told her about him screaming and my headache.

"That's no excuse. You can't ignore him! At least say you have a headache!" She replied. That wasn't the only fight we had that day. We do fight a lot.

There's a lot of yelling in this house... and in this marriage.

Theodosia Jr. POV:

When I woke up, I made breakfast for my dad. Even though it was only half a bowl of cereal, he was still grateful. We stayed in for the rest of the day and watched movies.

It's at times like making breakfast for my dad; on fathers day; a week after he got out of jail; that makes me miss my mom the most. I wish she were still here. I've lost count of all the months she's been gone.

My teacher helps me during recess incase I need help. She always knows exactly what I need. Mrs. Schuyler-Hamilton is my teacher.

She's like the mom I once had. She makes me feel safe and at ease. I don't always feel like that around my dad. Ever since he came home from prison, he was distant.

I missed the old him. The one that would play games with me or make me laugh. I don't see that dad anymore. I just hope that I can help him get better.
