chapter 1 - introduction to Lucy

Dear my new Diary,

Hi my name is Lucy,

I am 12 years old, I live in a country called the Philippines i was born in Australia but my family and i had to move because of my dads work. I hate it here! no one likes me! i get bullied at school! i get called names, and all other things, i feel as if i am lost im broken and unwanted my parents work full time so i never see them, i am always at after school care or at a friends house but that never really happens! i am just about to give up on my life! i haven't told anyone how i feel only my diary... I also have a brother named john he is 23 years old and he left home about 2 years ago and i haven't seen him since then. He calls me each night but normally they are pranks and mean words that hurt my feelings and they are from his friends!

my mum well she works at a restaurant and is the manager so she works there every morning and night the only time i see her is when she comes home at 12:30am but then goes to work at 6am. my dad well he is away half the time and i haven't seen him for about a month or 2( i have given up on counting)! we live in a small unit that is very dodgy and will probably fall any minute, people throw eggs at our house and rocks at the windows it is terrifying what people do around in this country! i want to go back to Autralia i want to see what it is like to live there and have a nomal life and have friends!
