chapter eight

"Everyone Grams here." Lena yelled up the stairs.

I walked down the stairs alongside Callie. "There's my beautiful birthday girl. Oh, and my hands on birthday boy." The older woman cheered to the twins in front of us.

"You're frandfathers very sorry he couldn't make it." She apologized.

We walked down the stairs slowly. "You must be Callie and Olivia." She smiled. "Oh and your Jude." She pulled us into a hug. "Its lovely to meet you guys."

"Everyone in the house calls me Gram. And guess what, I've got awesome presents." She cheered.

I chuckled and followed behind the rest of the kids with Callie.

After she habded out presents to the kids and cash to me, Callie, and Jude, I went up and changed into my gown and did my hair and makeup.

"Unless they knew something." I heard Talya comment to Callie on the stairs. "Something?" Callie asked. "About Liam."

I paused a lump forming in my throat.

"Wouldnt want them to find out about your little secret someone would you?" She said looking up to me. Callie looked to me in fear. "Liv-" She started.

I shook my head nodding for her to walk away.

"You okay?" Jesus asked when he saw me frozen on the stairs. "I uh, I-I..... Yeah let's go." I stuttered out rushing out of the house. "Are you sure? We can't talk." He tried. "Why don't you just go ride with your girlfriend?" I snapped looking at Lexi. "Fine." He said storming off.

I quickly climbed in behind Brandon and Callies car. I stared out the window, wiping tears as they fell. "Liv? All good?" Callie whispered turning around. I nodded.

I sat on the bathroom counter silently as Marianna did a final check of her dress, zonded out.

"Can you move Liv?" Lexi said in a fake voice. I snapped from my thoughts jumping down, to panicked to pick a fight with the girl. "I have a birthday present for you." She said to Marianna, sendin me a look.

"Help me open it." Marianna said excited.

I frowned looking to Callie. "Did you do this all yourself." She asked holding up the frame of pictures. "I'll be right back." I said leaving quickly, still panicked from Talya.

Callie followed me. "Ill make sure Talya doesnt talk." I let out a deep breath letting my tears finally fall. "You cant stop her Callie okay? She hates us and now she knows everything. If Stef and Lena find out they'll get rid of me." I broke down.

"Olivia you need to hold it together right now." She said harshly. I scoffed shaking her away from me and running to a more secluded spot.

"Were not ending this." I heard Jesus coming to where I sat against a wall.

He pulled Lexi into heated kiss, backing her into me. "Can you watch where youre going?" I snapped pushing them away. I jumped from the floor attsmpting to wipe away my tears. "What is your problem today?" Jesus yelled.

"Nothing. I have no problems, in totally fine Jesus. Obviously theres no reason I'm crying on the floor." I yelled in his face. "Liv, I'm-"

"No its fine. Makeup with your sisters best friend behind her back at her party I don't care anynore." I said walking away.

I stopped when I saw Marianna hiding behund a wall. "Mari, I'm so sorry." I hugged her as she let some tears fall. "Lets get cleaned up okay?" I said pulling her back to the bathroom to fix our makeup.

"Did you find Lexi?" Lena asked us when we got back. "Nope." Marianna lied. "Have you seen Lexi?" She asked Jesus as he approached. "No." He lied, slightly smirking., dropping it when he caught my appearance. "Sorry I was in the bathroom." Lexi said walking from the opposire dirdction of the bathroom.

Marianna scoffed. "Just make it through the dance okay?" I whispered.

"Youre goinf to the bathroom a lot. Maybe you have a bladder infection." Marianna said rudely to Lexi, I chuckled at her side.

Jesus walked over to me. "I'm sorry about that, I shouldn't have been such a dick." I rolled mt eyes looking away.

"Hey, you look hot in your gown." Nathan said walking up to me. "Really? Well, I think I'd look a lot hotter without it on." I whispered to him, making eye contact with Jesus, loud enough for him to here. "I like the sound of that."

Jesus scoffed walking back to Marianna.

"I think we should switch." Callie stated after Marianna and Jesus left. "Sams to tall for Lexi." She walked away from Brandon, just as we were all introduced.

"Lexi Rivera and Sam Walkins."

"Callie Jacob and Brandon Foster."

"Olivia Marshall and Nathan Pierce."

We all walked out, everyone confused at the partner switch up. "First well kick it off with the padrino dance. Welcome a family friend, Mike." The announcer said.

The rest of the court waited at the back of the dance floor while they danced.

I could feel Jesus staring ocer at me so I pulled myself closer into Nathan's arms, smiling up at him. "Now we welcome Marianna's court to the dance floor."

I danced with Nathan through the song, avoiding anyone elses stares, only watching Nathan.

Jesus and Marianna fought through the dance causing her to run off when the music ended. "Can I talk to you?" He asked walking to me.

"Why so you can just ignore all of ny feelings again?" I snapped. "I already messed up with two girls tonight, dont let me mess up with you too." He tried. "Wow, so you only want to apologize because you broke your sisters heart and your little girlfriend is upset you've been lying? Screw you Jesus." I shouted to his face, turning to Nathan and pulling him in for a long kiss.

Jesus scoffed storming away from us. "Wanna leave?" I asked pulling away, sending a nervous glance towards Talya who glared between me and Callie.

"Of course, I know somdnkids are having a little party down on the beach. Wanna go?" He asked. I sent a final look to Jesus before nodding and walking out with him.
