(Sorry to say, but I took Rhodey out of the soulmate list.)

When I got inside Walmart, I grabbed a basket before I started to make my way to the aisle that have notebooks in them. The second I got there, I was looking for the best notebooks only to almost run into someone. "Sorry," I said to her. "No problem. I should've been watching where I was going," she said. I couldn't help but smile at her. "Say, I like your sunglasses." She added. "Thank you," I said.

"No problem. I'm Pepper," she said as she held her hand out. I smiled at her. "I'm Skylar," I said as I shook her hand. Just me touching her hand, I could tell that she was my mate. I let go of her hand before I walked to the shelf that has all the notebooks. I looked to find the perfect ones. "So, whatcha looking for?" Pepper asked as she walked so she was by my side. A few new notebooks for my little brother. He's a big writer and I guess he took that after me." I said as I grabbed two college rule notebooks.

I put them in the basket that I was holding. I turned around and then looked for the kind of pens that Luke likes. "Since I don't have work anymore, I thought I would kind of surprise my siblings. Since we didn't have too much money they would be the kids that wouldn't ask for too much. So, here I am. Getting them some new things." I said as I grabbed two things of the pens that Luke likes the most.

"Isn't that nice of you." a new voice said. I looked over at the person that just talked. Along with Pepper. That's when I saw two new people. They both looked at me and smiled.

"Tony Stark, nice to meet you

"Tony Stark, nice to meet you." the one who talked said as he walked over to me. "I see you meet Pepper," Tony said. I nodded my head. "Yeah, like most of my mates, I almost literally ran into her," I said with a smile on my face. Tony nodded his head. "So, is that all your going to get?" Tony asked as he pointed at the basket. I looked down at the basket. "Well, I don't really need that much," I said.

"At least get some things that you want. Like a phone for you and your siblings. Maybe some other things. You do know you can get anything with that card that I gave you right." Tony said making me look back at him.

"So, you are the one that gave me the card," I said. "Yup." He said popping the p. I gave him a look. "Well, at least let me get you and your siblings a phone," Tony said. "Why?" I asked. "Can't I spoil my mate and her family? Besides, how are we going to talk to you when you are home if you don't have a phone?" Tony questioned.

"There is such thing as a house phone. You know the phone that can't leave the house or it doesn't work. It was a thing that had a cord on it, but with technology, it doesn't anymore." I said making Bruce smile.

Tony gave me his famous smirk. "I like this one," Tony said as he looked at Pepper. "Now, come along, my little mate. If there is one thing that I can do as your mate, is pay for what you have in that basket and get you and your siblings all a phone." Tony said as he held his hand out. I looked at it. Not too sure what to do. Whether to hold his hand or just let him be embarrassed. "Skylar, Are you okay?" Tony asked after a little while of me not talking or touching his hand.

"Yeah, just don't trust easily," I said as I started to walk away from my mates. "Well, you can trust us. You know that right." Bruce said as they caught up to me. "Yeah, I know. But most of the people that I've learned to trust, well....either left, betrayed me, or died. The only people that I trust or that are still around are my dad and siblings." I said as a bunch of stuffed animals caught my eye.

I walked over to them and looked at them. Luke and Grace never got stuffed animals, well they did, but they weren't special to them.

I turned away from them and started to walk to one of the many check-out aisles. I put the basket on the conveyor belt when it got closer to my turn in the line. "Were you able to find everything today?" the person that was by the register asked. "Yup," I answered as the person started to ring the stuff up. Before anything, Tony pulled out his wallet and handed the person a card before I could do anything and before they even told the total.

The person grabbed the card and swiped it as I grabbed the bag that has the notebooks and pens in it. Once everything was paid for, the four of us walked out of the store. Once we were outside, a limo pulled up. Of course, Tony would have a limo not too far from him. Well, that or some type of fancy car.

"Please allow us to drive you to a phone store," Tony said as he opened up one of the many doors. I looked at him then at Pepper. I've been known to trust women faster than men. She nodded her head and smiled at me. Without saying a word, I climbed into the limo. I sat down by one of the windows. I took my bag off and put it on my lap. My other mates climbed in and closed the door behind them.

I opened the backpack before I looked up at my mates. "Happy, can you take us to the closet Stark phone store?" Tony asked with a big smile on his face. "Yes, sir." a voice said from the front of the limo. "Who is the young lady with you?" Happy or the man asked. I looked at him.

"Happy, this is Skylar. Our mate. Skylar this is Happy, he was Tony's bodyguard but now he is the head of security at the tower."Pepper said before anyone else did. "Nice to meet you, Skylar." Happy said as he started to drive. "Likewise," I said before I opened up the plastic Walmart bag.

I took the notebooks out and put them into my backpack. I then grabbed the pens and put them into the bag. I folded the plastic bag up before putting it in a different place in my backpack. I made sure that every part of the backpack was closed. I looked out of the window. Watching everything fly by.
