Fearless Truth <. Dominic's P.O.V. >

Chapter twelve

I've never noticed how unique my ceiling is, it looks like soft red wisps of fabric being blown in a soft wind. I sit up from my bed and run my fingers through my messy hair. For eight hours I've been lying here, trying to sort out my feelings for her. She was greet. Beautiful, funny and amazing! But, did I really have feelings for her?

I walk down the hall to Sofia's room.

I knocked three quick thumps on Sofia's door. After waiting for what seemed like forever, she pulls it open, "What?"

"Nella wants to speak to you about going to see your sister." I say walking her down to the sitting room.

"Oh no no no! Your not getting away that easy, Dominic!" she grabs my arm and spins me around. she has an evil smile on her picture perfect face.

I cross my arms with a groan, she's going to want to talk about last night. "What?"

"What happened, I mean I know you like-"

"Sofia." I sigh. She frowns and leans against the door.

"Stop kidding yourself, Dom."

"Don't call me that!" I hiss, only Val calls me that.

A small laugh escapes her lips, "Just admit it!"

I shake my head and smile.

"Why cant you admit it? Most guys don't cradle crying girls in there arms because they 'don't' like her." She stabs her finger into her chest.

"Sofia, she's cool and all... but-" she cuts my off.

"Please, stop kidding yourself!"

"I'm not."

She frowns. I've never seen her face so sad, except when Ben is in the conversation, "One day you are going to wake up and realize you have feelings for her, and when that comes she'll be waking up with someone who already knew."

"Shes stuck here!" I shout, my anger at a boil.

"Don't make the same mistake I did. Don't let her go. And yes, she's leaving. I filed her dismissal yesterday." she puts her hands on her tiny hips and stares me down.

"I don't like her! She's an arrogant human girl that skips around thinking everything's okay, but it's not. I hate how she never frowns, and she acts to happy. It's annoying. The only reason I brought her back is because I do have a heart and couldn't leave that excuse of a servant lying in the forest." I yell. How all those words were lies are true frighten me.

"Here's your mail." I quickly turn around. Valerei is standing there, placing three letters on a small table. Her eyes are clouded with tears and her bottom lip is shaking. She does a small bow and quickly runs out the door.

"Valerie." I say, but I know she doesn't care what I have to say anymore.

"Have a heart? Really?" Sofia chokes out. She runs after Valerei, my heart aches that she gets to be with her and I don't. But I doubt she'll ever want to be with me again.

"Soph," I grabbed her arm, forcing her to a stop.

"What!?" she growled through clenched teeth.

"Let me go talk to her." I start to the door but am thrown against the wall.

"I care about Valerie." she hisses, pressing her arm against my neck to keep me still, "And I don't want you near her until she goes to you. Leave her alone." she slams me to the ground and runs to Val.

"I-" I close my mouth. She's probably right. I pull myself up and walk down the hallway. But I can't leave her alone, she's just... a not leaving alone type of person.

When I reach my room, I pull out a piece of paper and start writing:

'Dear Vana,

I was hoping to know where your living in town because you could always live here. I've missed your company these days. Also, my mother is having a family get together and I want you to come, thoughts?

Sincerely,

Prince Dominic'

I ring the bell for Valerie to bring the letter. I'll just explain, and if she doesn't under stand and never wants to see me again, I'll just be crushed.

"Yes, sir."

I smile as I open the door, "I told you not to call me-" the boy servant stands there. Arms crossed and ready to work.

"I'm sorry, Val has been taken sick for the day." I can see the hatred burning in his eyes. He must have heard all ready.

"Ok, well. Oh yes, I have mail." I plop the letter onto his hand and smile, "Thank you."

"Can I state my opinion?" he tilts his head to the side.

"Yes?" I ask confused.

"I just think what you did to Valerie was really wrong. She's a great person and doesn't deserve to be treated like that." he bows and walks away.

Jealousy fills me at the thought of him with Val. Him hugging her, comforting her. And her just crying and hurt, then me, sitting here wishing I could trade with Angelo.

Maybe I do have feelings for the servant, but I like Vana, I think.
