well, here's the update you've maybe been waiting for..
on december 7th, the boy best friend of my "ex" told me that he didn't really "loved" my best friend but had a crush on her till he realised that she just wasn't the one and then he told me "he lost the wrong one" and that was me.
he thought about everything and finally realised that it was me. the whole time.
and I felt the same way
we were in talking stage for 2 months and on february 14th (valentines day), he asked me to be his girlfriend and I said yes:)
on this day we met in person the first time cause of the corona pandemic and it was beautiful
well it was just outside but better than nothing
i'm so happy with him and i really think that in october it just was "right person, wrong time"
