Lucifer a.k.a Luke Hemmings

Chapter 3

July 18

I woke up at around 12:30 and slowly got out of bed. I dragged myself up to go to the bathroom and then went about my usual morning routine. Once I was finished, I went back to my bed and picked my phone up off of my bedside table. Unlocking it, I first opened my texts from Luke. I changed his name in my phone to Lucifer last night, so it made me laugh to see that when I opened up my messages.

Hey, are you still up?
Scarlett?
Hello?
Ok. I guess not. Goodnight.

I also had a few from earlier this morning.

Morning!
Am I texting too much?
If I am, then I will totally stop.

I felt bad, he probably thought I was getting annoyed with him since his last text was from almost two hours ago. I decided to reply.

Good morning Lucifer :)

I then opened up Twitter to check what all my notification were about . Unfortunately, the app wouldn't open and it crashed every time I restarted it. Instead, I got out of bed and went into my kitchen in search of food. I laid my phone down on my kitchen table and played music once again while I made myself eggs and toast. Sitting at the table, I ate my food and saw that Luke answered my text.

I need to give you a nickname too. It's only fair ;)
I'm thinking Scary. Or maybe Gill. But then again, I like the name Scarlett. It's pretty.

Why thank you Lucifer. I don't think I need a nickname. I've never had one, except Scar. Scarlett is just fine.

Anywho, I meant to ask you if you wanted to hang out today. We could do whatever you wanted. I'm not familiar with this city, so you would be better at deciding what we should do.

Sure! We could go to the art museum. I don't actually live in Philly, but I'm only like half an hour away.

I thought you lived in the city?

Nope, suburbs.

Well then, how about you drive up and we can meet somewhere for lunch and then we can just chill at my place. I'm staying just outside center city. I'm living with three of my friends right now, so it wouldn't be just us. They're fun though, it should be cool. Would that work?

Sure. How about we meet at Lucy's Diner at 1:30? It's a small place. I'll send you the address.

I sent him the address and he told me that was about four blocks from his place. I told him I'd get ready and that I'd see him at 1:30. I finished eating my breakfast and then I went into my room to pick out clothes to wear. I didn't really need to impress anyone, but I wanted to look somewhat nice when I went to hang out with four guys. I decided to stick to my usual color scheme black, gray, and white. I don't own much color, but my apartment has a cheery feel. It's strange. I decided to wear a black long sleeve shirt that was slightly too big, leggings, and black boots. I pulled my hair out of its bun and let it fall down in front of my shoulders. I ran a hand through it quickly to give myself a messy side part and stuck my sunglasses on. I put on my socks and pulled my boots on my feet.
I looked in the mirror and chose to go without makeup. I wasn't a big fan of the stuff. I put on lip balm quickly and grabbed my purse. I put my wallet and phone inside and got out my keys. I walked to my front door and left my apartment, locking the door behind me. I exited my building and went to my car in the parking lot. Turing on the car, I saw that it was already five minutes after one. I inwardly cursed at myself for being late. At this rate, I was going to get there at almost 1:45. I turned on the radio and begun my drive. I heard the radio host say something interesting, but thought nothing of it.
"Next we have a new song from the Australian band 5 Seconds of Summer, Amnesia. Rumor has it that the boys are staying in the area at the moment. Ladies, I hear they're single."
