Nighttime Blues. - PG Saiouma

Late night - 1

I woke up on the roof. It was pitch black. I got held behind because a teacher said my behavior was "unacceptable" so we talked and I went to the roof to sit but I guess I fell asleep. I walked down the eerie hallways. I stopped for a second, something didn't feel right, but I soon kept walking until I felt a hand on my shoulder. I was panicking at this point. I didn't turn around I just ran but I heard the footsteps chasing me and getting louder. Where am I running? I don't know.. After running for a minute or two I made it to a dead end. I covered my ears and hoped that would make whatever grabbed me go way. I heard it getting closer and closer and started breathing heavily, is this the end? I've been so good, I don't deserve this.. It grabbed my shoulder again. I looked over my shoulder slowly, well I had my eyes sealed shut but turned my head, hands still over my ears.

"Didn't think you'd react like that?" The voice laughed

I didn't say anything, turned my head back around and kept my eyes closed, still heavily breathing.

"Calm down dude- you think I'm going to hurt you?" It said again, the voice was so muffled because I had my hands over my ears 

I slowly nodded, I shouldn't have slept on the roof..

The person then put their arm around my neck as if we were friends and I tensed up, not moving besides that. Maybe they tried to comfort me?

"You can open your eyes, you know that right?" They asked

I gulped

"Mhm.." still keeping my eyes shut

"Closing your eyes will only make you more of  target in the real world" they whispered

My eyes shot open, what's with this person..

I was still heavily breathing and had my hands over my ears, not looking at them

"So you're probably all like 'why did this creep stop me?' 'Why is he chasing after me?' Yeah?"

I nodded, I could practically feel him breathing down my neck

"I need to get home." I said

"This late at night? What are you even doing here?"

"I- I could ask the same for you." I replied

"Fair point. But.. you know that walking home at night is dangerous?" He said

"Stop it. It's not funny." I said

"What? I'm not lying? You'll see some creepy old guy chase you!"

"Shut up! For real!" I finally looked at the guy, he looked about my age, but he was so much taller than me.

"I'm not in the mood today." I said

"Then when will you be in 'the mood'?" He asked

"Never! Now leave me alone I'm tired and just want to go home.." I looked down

"Orrrrr.. you could stay here for an hour and let me walk you home so you can be safe?" 

I feel like crying

"Just take me home now if you insist on taking me home."

"Ok, I'll follow behind you! Keeping you safe- ah, I forgot to mention my name is Saihara Shuichi!" He smiled

"Ok.. why are you acting like we've known each other for years even though you should get a hint I don't want to be around you?" I started walking towards the exit

"You seemed lonely, like you could use a friend.." He replied

"Wow thaaanks." I said sarcastically 

"You never told me your name?" He said

"Ouma Kokichi." I said

"Nice to meet you Ouma-kun!" He smiled

I didn't say anything and kept walking. I eventually made it home and didn't say anything to him, why was he still at school?

"Hey before I go in, why were you still at school?" I asked

"I realized I left something there, so I went in and got sidetracked, silly me!" He laughed

"Right.. next time don't grab someone's shoulder and then chase after them when they're clearly not comfortable with that happening. If you want a friend learn how to read me." I walked inside, I honestly hope he doesn't take those words in a mean tone. I want a friend, I really do but my friends need to read me, and he clearly can't.

I walked inside and snuck to my room, placed my backpack down and flopped on my bed. I didn't sleep even though I was tired. I stayed up all night, but that's fine. Once it was time to "wake up" I got up, brushed my hair and teeth and went downstairs..

"Kokichi Ouma where were you last night?" My mom asked

"A teacher needed to talk."

"There's no way it took that long." She said

"I went to the roof and fell asleep." I responded 

She sighed

"Don't do it again. It scared me and your father." 

My dad couldn't care less I was home late.

After eating breakfast I grabbed my stuff and headed to school.. Oh boy..

what will happen next chapter? Will Kokichi see that strange guy? We may never know.. well I do and you will once you read it but you get my point.

OH also  this has the FTM Kokichi headcanon since its my favorite one, also how he has heterocromea- so those re 2 HC's in this story!
