Chapter 19

It was 4 am when you got the call. Liz was in the hospital. She had suffered a heart attack when she got up in the middle of the night to get a glass of water.

Luke woke you up. He was having a bad panic attack. You quickly called Brittany and asked if she could come watch Leo. Luckily, she agreed. You were surprised she even answered. She's always such a heavy sleeper.

You both quickly got dressed and as soon as Brittany got there, you left for the hospital. You drove because Luke was zoned out. He was so scared and you felt bad that there was nothing you could do to help him.

You get there soon and park the car. You both get out and Luke bolts to the hospital doors. You start running to catch up with him. As you caught up and panted, he was asking what room she was in.

"Sorry sir, we can't-" The lady at the front desk started.

"Luke!" Ben yells.

Luke looks over at the waiting room where his family is and speed walks over there. "What happened? How is she? Is she okay?"

"Luke, calm down." His dad says, rubbing his back. "She's stable."

"Is she going to die?" He asks, his voice cracking at the end of the sentence.

"The doctors are going to do everything they can to help her." His dad reassures him.

"What if it's not enough?" He asks, tearing up.

Andy pulled Luke into a hug. "Everything will be okay."

Ben and Jack joined in on the hug and they all pulled away after a few seconds.

"Hemmings?" A nurse calls, walking into the waiting room.

Andy walks over to her and they talk as the boys watch from afar.

"She's awake and doing well." He walks back, smiling. The boys all smile widely.

"Can we see her?" They ask.

He nods, "Yeah, the nurse said she's asking for us. Room 1480."

They nod and all walk to the room. They walk in and Liz smiles at them. "I've never been happier to see you."

They all go over to her and carefully hug her one at a time. "We're so happy you're okay."

"The doctor said it could have been worse." She says. "Remember, not all heart attacks are fatal." She smiles.

"I think it's just that your a fighter." Luke smiles at her.

She smiles and kisses his back of his hand. "I love you guys."

"We love you too." They smile.

Ben runs out to get Liz somethings she needs and Jack and Andy go to the waiting room so Luke can spend time with Liz. He barely saw her anymore and that upset him a lot.

"How are you feeling mom?" He asks her.

"I'm good, thank you baby." She smiles.

"Are you in pain?" He asks.

"A little but the doctors are taking great care of me." She smiles.

He sighs and nods. "Do you need anything?"

"Can you grab me some water please?" She asks.
