"Mama I have to tell you something," as soon as those words left my mouth the nerves kicked in. I don't know why I was so nervous, all I was doing was talking to my mom and telling her something that she's been predicting since me and Oscar were younger. She's always wanted us to end up together and now that it was happening it was just all so surreal. Her brows furrowed together as she waited for me to continue, so I took a deep breath before telling her. "Me and Oscar are together now." I stated, the words just flew out of my mouth with such ease, and I really thought that it was going to be more difficult than that.

"Oh baby I already know" she laughed, my jaw dropped, so you're telling me that I went through all of that just for my mom to already know? When she saw the look of confusion she just rolled her eyes and continued to explain herself. "It's so obvious mija, have you seen the way that boy looks at you?" My cheeks went red, and it was hard to contain my smile. Hearing everything come from other people really just hits you because when other people point out another person's feelings for you, that's really how you know that it's real. Especially hearing it come from my mom, that really hit home for me.

"It's that obvious huh?" I asked, well I was mainly being sarcastic but I was genuinely curious if our feelings for each other were that prominent to the point where literally everyone points them out.

"Little girl y'all have had these feelings since y'all were in diapers. You were a mess when he got locked up, you almost canceled your quince because he wasn't going to be there and you refused to dance unless it was with me, your tio's, or Cesar, we practically had to drag you. And seeing you so happy now, and seeing the way you are lighting up as we're having this conversation right now is what makes being a mother worth while." I felt a single tear run down my cheek as she spoke. It was all so heart felt and you could clearly tell that she meant every single word. "Mija I have been waiting for this for a long time," she said as she embraced me in a tight hug. A few more tears fell as I buried my face in her neck, I couldn't even help them from falling. "Now go get your man, your tio's might kill him" she whispered, I let out a loud laugh before I let go of her and wiped my face.

I walked back out into the living room to where they all were and went to go and get Oscar. I grabbed his hand and pulled him off of the couch and led him back to my room.

"Bebe what's wrong?" He asked, as he sat down on my bed.

"Nothing's wrong, I told my mom about us" I said smiling, just as I spoke those words a huge grin spread across his lips and he pulled me onto his lap and wrapped his arms around me.

"I'm guessing she took it well huh?" he asked amused, I just rolled my eyes and wrapped my arms around his neck, placing a kiss on his lips. We pulled apart breathless, and he rested his hands on my lower back, drawing me in closer to him. He just looked at me with absolute admiration in his eyes and it made me melt. Everything he did just made me weak at the knees, he floods my mind every second of everyday and I can't seem to get enough of him. He pulled me back in for another kiss but this time it was more passionate and it felt like sparks were flying everywhere. And just as things were starting to progress, Carmen and Paula busted through my bedroom door. Oscar quickly moved me off of his lap, but kept his arm around me, and they both looked stunned.

"Damn did we interrupt something?" Carmen snickered, and just as Oscar was about to say something I cut him off.

"Nope, now what do you putas want?" I asked, they just started laughing all over again, I was lowkey starting to get really annoyed and I could tell Oscar was too.

"We came to tell you that everyone's gonna be here soon and you need to get ready because yo ass takes forever" she exaggerated. I rolled my eyes and scoffed before getting up and walking over to my closet. I mean she wasn't wrong because I do take quite a long time to get ready but she always has to point it out, as if she doesn't take forever too. But they left once Oscar gave them a "leave or else" type of look, I was still looking through my closet and I wasn't having any luck finding an outfit that I wanted to wear. I let out a dramatic sigh and threw myself on my bed, Oscar just laughed and wrapped his arms around me.
