I was blindfolded while he was standing behind me, holding my hands and trying to direct me where to go. I stumbled on few rocks not sure where I am stepping, but I trusted him....ok not really, but I felt secure in his hands.
"We are almost there!" I could feel the warm breath of Vincent on my neck, it gave me goosebumps. We were outside in the dark for hour and a half and I was getting cold and hungry. "Turn right, and now I think I have to lift you up or we both gonna roll down the hill."
"A hill!!! Where are we going? Let me see!" I shouted and squeezed his hands as he lifted me up in his arms. I could smell his Giorgio Armani Aqua perfume that I bought for him last week. His strong arms wrapped around me, making me forget about the cold weather and my empty stomach that was singing a song, not as romantic as the one in my head.
"Ok we are here." he said as he slowly lend me on the ground and gently removed the black satin scarf from my eyes. I was scared to open my eyes, I felt the wind and I was cold back again. "Come on Adriana open your eyes!" he kissed my cheek from behind and I peeked with my left eye.
"Wow!" I shouted in disbelief as I quickly closed my eyes with my both hands. I could hear Vincent laughing from behind. I removed my hands and stared at the place speechless. He had turned a small area of the Central Park into a romantic date, a scene that you would see in the movies.
"You did all this?" I asked, as I removed my Jimmy Choo black sandals and stepped forward, ignoring his response, observing the place with details. There were candles everywhere and a table with two chairs in the middle. There was a bottle of wine on the table and food, yes food. My stomach growled.
"Let's sit," he pulled one of the chairs for me, looking straight in my eyes with his deep green eyes. "I am sure you are hungry," he smiled. Probably he had heard the voices inside my stomach, great. I came close and kissed his soft lips as I sat.
"Okay baby, we have your favorite dish! Pasta with mushrooms and pears, the dessert I will keep a surprise." He winked as he sat in front of me and reached for the wine.
"More surprises? This is the greatest thing that has happened to me," I murmured as I noticed that there was a slow music coming from somewhere, it was our favorite song by The XX - Stars. I could feel my eyes filling with tears as I listened to the lyrics.
I can give it all on the first date
I don't have to exist outside this place
And dear know that I can change
But if stars, shouldn't shine
By the very first time
Then dear it's fine, so fine by me
'Cos we can give it time
So much time with me
This was our first official date, after a month of dating and I had no idea if the stars were shinning for us, if this was the right time and how long it was going to last. All I knew was that Cupid is dead and I had one bullet left to shoot...
