"Good morning darling!"

"Mom i told you to not be so loud in the morning ." I say annoyed "Sorry darling, but I'm so excited that today is the first school day after
"Okay I get that, but could you maybe leave so I can get ready?" "Of course love!"

I looked in the mirror and saw how puffy my eyes were from crying last night. I didn't have much time but showering was my only option right now so I just went showering.

I looked at my hair after showering, ugh shizzlez my hair was so messy and still wet. Combing my hair was going to take forever because I only had 30 more minutes left to go to school and eat breakfast. So I just made a messy bun.

"Thanks for breakfast mom!" "No problem darling! who is your mentor this year? So I can send an e-mail with the situation here at home."
"it's coach styles he does that too apparently! So you don't have to send a mail he already knows." "okay! Have fun at school!"
"thanks mom"

*texting Chloe*

Hey, where are you?

Chloe: I'm so sorry, I thought you would take the bus today!

what? I texted you yesterday and asked if you could pick me up! And you said yes.

Chloe: I totally forgot :/ sorry.

it's okay I will walk!

Chloe: okay! Be careful this town is full of creeps.

Yes I will!

"hey Lauren" I hear coming from a car while I'm walking "Lauren talk to me why are you here walking alone?" he says worried "hey I'm talking to you Lauren! Talk to me" he says now annoyed "talk to you? I should talk to you? Woah, never thought I would hear that coming from you" I say annoyed knowing that he doesn't care about me      "I'm your coach you shouldn't have that attitude to me! Anyways come in the car you know this town is dangerous" "no I really didn't know that and sadly you're my mentor too now" I say rolling my eyes
"hey be happy I'm giving you a ride, and being your mentor doesn't have to be sad. also why were you walking?"      "Chloe forgot to pick me up"
"oh I'm sorry, also give me a call if you need a ride back!" he says sweet "okay! sorry for my attitude btw, my morning was bad and I didn't have time to comb my hair so now I also look ugly"
"don't say that darling! you look fine, don't worry about it because I also forgot to do my hair" he says while I blushed "yes I could tell!" I say joking around so maybe i would stop blushing "hey that's not nice, I didn't say that to you" he says joking around "you know I'm not nice!" I say still blushing "are you blushing?" he says laughing out loud "no it's just warm" i say laughing.
It was quiet for the rest of the ride because I made it awkward.

"okay thanks for the ride coach! I'll see you at practice" I say grabbing my bag out of the car "okay, you can call me Ha-" "Sorry I really need to go coach" "okay bye."

8:00 am

The moment the last bell rings the door to my class shuts with me still standing outside. I almost said a bad word out loud until I saw Chloe walking to me "Chloe you didn't!" I say with my mouth wide open. "yes I did, I felt so bad for leaving you this morning so I didn't want to leave you alone this time!" she says with a big smile "aww you're too sweet" i say while hugging her. "that's what we are best friends for!!" she says while laughing "I love you Chlo" "I love you too Lau"

We were just talking until we heard our names trough the speakers . I looked at Chloe and she looked at me and we just straight up started laughing. Because why would we get called?

We walked to the office.

I open the door and I see coach sitting there.

Coach: "girls, why weren't you in class I thought I brought you here on time Lauren?"

Chloe: "omg Lauren why didn't you tell me coach brought you?"

"it doesn't matter Chloe, And Coach I'm sorry but my locker was verry far away from this class so when I finally had my books I had 1 minute left..."

Chloe: "yeah and I didn't want to leave Lauren alone again since I already did that this morning."

"it was too cute when you walked out of class for me Chloe!" I say with a big smile

Coach: "just make sure it won't happen again okay?"

"Sure"

Coach: "also Lauren can I talk to you for a second?"

"okay sure"

Chloe: "I'll see you later!"

"Okay Lauren I wanted to talk to you because it seems like you are distracted when we are training and also on school because you were late and I don't believe getting your books took so long. Is there something going on at home again?"

What do I say, because yeah there Is a lot going on, and grabbing my books also didn't take long but saying all of that to coach won't change anything. so I will only tell about my parents

"Sorry coach but I've been missing my dad lately. My stepdad and mom are being kinda toxic. They are mad at me for days and the other day they will act like nothing happened."

"you can always talk to me, and don't worry darling, everything is going to be fine! I'm here for you! But just make sure to focus some more on school and the games maybe that will help to distract you from your parents!"

The tears rolled down my eyes when he said that he's here for me and after telling about my parents because I was scared he was going to judge

"Thank you coach, I will try to focus more" I say with tears still rolling down

i wanted to say more until I felt two arms wrapping around me.
