You and Scarlett were sitting on the balcony getting some fresh air, you recently broke up with your ex boyfriend because he was really really toxic, he always made you feel worthless and not lovable. He never really laughed at your jokes, he made you feel so uncomfortable, he would always yell at you but luckily he would never lay a hand on you. Scarlett knew about everything because you just told her recently since you two met 2 weeks ago right after the break up, you were sitting in the cafe back then after he left you alone, then you met Scarlett. She came up to you and asked if everything was alright since you looked so miserable sitting alone at the table. You really felt like talking to a stranger about it so you told her everything and now you two are really close.

"You alright?" Scarlett asked you as she took a sip from her coffee, but you didn't notice because you zoned out. "y/n, are you alright?" she asked again snapping her fingers at your face, you quickly zoned back in "Oh yeah, yeah just zoned out for a sec." you mumbled under your breath. "I noticed" she laughed putting her cup of coffee on the table "It has actually come to my attention that you zone out a lot lately like A LOT" she said and you both laughed "What is making you zone out that often honey?" she asked and you finally looked at her, your y/e/c eyes meeting her green ones. "Y'know just some unicorns and fairies, they always come to me and they're like 'Hey you see that way there, it leads you to a secret basement and the basement is filled with chocolate' and then before I can respond you usually snap your fingers in my face and I zone back in again" you joked and she started laughing, you smiled for a second then you realized "Y'know you always throw your head back laughing like a little kid" you whispered "What's wrong with that" she still giggled a bit but then she stopped laughing. "Nothing I- I just think it's strange that you think I'm funny..." you whispered again as you took a deep breath noticing a tear rolled down your cheek. "Why?" she asked concerned taking your hand and squeezing it "Because he never did." you quietly said, she could barely hear you, she didn't say anything yet she was just listening and you wished that he would've listened to you like that too, but he always ignored you. "It's just, I've been spending the last 8 months thinking all love ever does is break and burn and end..." you said as she came closer to your face, then she put her hand on your cheek "...but then I met you, on that Wednesday in the cafe. And now I watch it begin again." you whispered before your lips locked with hers. Her lips intertwining with yours, that was the best feeling you had in years.

1 year later

"Hey Scar, you remember that night on the balcony where we had our first kiss?" you asked as you two cuddled up in your bed together "How could I forget that" she sighed kissing your forehead. "Good, I just wanted to say..." you hesitated "What is it babe?" she asked a little concerned. "You saved me, you were the one that saved me in that time, I was at my lowest back then and you were always there for me, you always comforted me whenever I felt upset. You always told me that I am enough. And I- I'm just so thankful to know you baby, god I love you so much!" you explained to her as a tear rolled down your face and she gave you a passionate kiss. "I love you" she mumbled and tightened the grip you two were in "And I'll never stop!" she said and kissed your forehead one last time before she turned out the lights. You two fell asleep very quickly and you two were happy, happier than ever.
