Deku, Kacchan, and the Tomboy

People were not born equal was what I learned at the age of four. But that changed when I met Iri. I felt that something had changed in my life.

Iri was peculiar. She sometimes said things that I didn't completely understand. It was like she already knew what would happen. And most of all, she didn't do what other girls and kids our age would do.

But I liked her. She was unique and strong. She was the first dual-quirk user I have ever met.

Tokuma Iri <Age 14>

Quirks: Portal Creation and Force Field Generation

She can open and close black portals, like holes, on surfaces, like walls, grounds, etc., with her left hand of her will. She can use it to send things or people away, trap them in between, allow them to arrive at her location, and redirect attacks. She can also use it to come and go. She can control the size of the black portals she creates from a fist-size to human-size. The number of portals that she can make at the moment is up to 20 at a time. Her portal creation quirk has no visible weaknesses. On the other hand, she can create bright purple force fields around her and others with her right hand. She can also generate it around her body, like armor. She uses it to nullify attacks and deflect them, and imprison her opponents. She can also throw any size and shape of energy shields away to attack and catch things. However, generating force fields drains her energy, so she has to take a lot of protein. When she overuses this quirk, her nose bleeds, and she loses her consciousness.

Since we were four, Iri and I trained a lot in self-defense and body strengthening. I gave her some ideas on how to use her quirks and she let me take advantage of them. Sometimes, we trained separately, and sometimes we trained as a team. We came up with different combos, and our favorite combo move during our training was when she opened a portal under me and sent me behind our opponent to let me throw a roundhouse kick to him.

Anyway, this morning, Iri and I witnessed the debut of Mt. Lady capturing a giant villain. She was able to catch the villain because of her common but quite a powerful quirk, gigantification. Currently, our homeroom teacher was about to hand out the future career forms we filled out days ago. "I assume you all want to be heroes!" But instead of handing them out, he threw them in the air.

Kacchan was in his usual rude, arrogant-self telling us that we were all losers. "Bakugo, of course, you must be aiming for UA High school." Our homeroom teacher said before Kacchan said that he would be the only student from our school to get admitted to UA and that he would surpass All Might. "You are also going to UA, Tokuma, and Midoriya. Right?"

Our classmates burst into laughter after hearing that. Not because of Iri. They knew that Iri would be able to do that, but not me. "Huh? Midoriya? No way!" Upon hearing that I was planning to take UA's entrance exam, Kacchan attacked me with his explosion. Thank god, Iri created an energy barrier around me. "Not so fast, pomeranian. I told you many times not to attack cinnamon!"

"Whatever! Do you and Deku think that he can rub shoulders with me?"
