I glared at Shadow angrily. To think she would have the ability to find the darn journal.... And then read it aloud? How could she do that? It was my only way of venting my feelings! She stood up.

"Kat, I-i'm sorry...." Shadow stuttered, stepping back.

"Why Shadow? You know that if something is hidden, I hafe hidden it for a fery good reason!" I said softly.

I couldn't stay mad at her for very long.... She looked too scared to move, much less defend her self. I stayed where I was.

"I didn't know you wouldn't want me to read it...."

I rolled my eyes. "I tried to hide it!"

"You need better hiding places." She stated.

"That's the point! I don't hafe anymore! You find this thing anywhere I put it!"

"Sorry?"

"I'm supposed to be able to trust you. You and Pyro are the only people I have left in my messed up life. You're my best friend, and I don't want to ruin it."

"Kat." Shadow whispered, tears in her eyes. I had never been this mad at her before.

"What Shadow?" I snapped, resorting to pacing so I wouldn't hurt her.

"I'm sorry. i... I didn't know that it would hurt you this m-much...."

Amy's little brother, Terren, started to cry. I picked him up.

"Sweetie, it's okay, I promise."

"B-but y-you were yelling a-at eachother!" He cried.

"We're done, I promise."

"You do?"

"Yes, and I never break a promise."

I gave him to his sister and walked over to Shadow, who was on her knees with her head in her hands. I got on my knees beside her. I wrapped my arms around her in a hug.

"Shadow, I'm sorry that I got so mad, but you hafe to understand that some secrets need to stay secret. You should know that." I whispered in her ear.

She nodded into my chest. I hated seeing Shadow this weak. She was an assassin, she needed to stay strong.

"Shadow, look at me."

She did. Her green eyes were red with unshed tears. It could've broken my heart... If my heart hadn't been broken almost ten years ago..... There wasn't any pieces left for it to break into. I picked her up gently, knowing that she could barely break a hundred pounds. She was probably 110-120. I weighed slightly heavier, at 125 pounds. I never had to pick Pyro up before.... She had also never started crying in front of me before. I took her into a soundproof training room.

"Shadow, you do understand why I was mad, yes?" I asked calmly.

She nodded. "Because I read your journal out loud."

"I'm not mad anymore, Shadow. What's done is done, and there's nothing left to do about it. So, with that said. I have a prop-"

Pyro busted through the door. "HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO ME AND SHADOW!"

"Pyro, I'm sorry, but there couldn't have been a worse time to do that.... BUT.... Why don't you go tell Master Jonas and his wife about it?" Shadow said, laughing.

"OKAY!" Pyro yelled, and slammed the door behind her.

"I wonder who gafe your crazy sister sugar, Shadow. Is it bad that I made an entire cake for her?" I asked, laughing as well.
