The... 'thing' came closer & closer as she moved farther and farther. Her instincts told her to look down. She slowly followed her instincts & on her right, and their stood a compass. She picked it up.

This was never here before.

She then looked up at the creature, it chattered. Then... what does a fox mixed with a mice do? Walk? Hop? Crawl? Whatever.

It apparently... "Ran" away and fading slowly into the darkness.

"Hannah!" One of her friends yelled. "Hannah, where are you? Your not suppose to be the one hiding!"

Hannah looked back, but decided on what she wanted to do. Something that took guts and definitely not crazy to do. She followed the Red-Eyed demonic creature inside the woods. She considered the fact that she might not return home the same way she had left it.

"Hannah! Just scream, yell, shout, but tell us if your okay?!"

Her friends voices faded quick. Not as quick as she ran. She kept running and from time to time, when she got lost, she would consider to use the compass but find herself facing the "thing".

She went deeper and deeper into the forest. The forest would get darker and more shallow. She would hear actual whispers as she ran. She kept running until the critter stopped. It turned to its left and climbed up the nearest tree there is. The forest was opened up and she came upon a stone brick path. She looked back and saw fog clogging up the forest behind her.

"Okay, i bet this is the friendliest part of the forest", She said sarcastically.

She hears a distant roar from behind.

"Ooookay. Right... can't go back now."

While she was slowly pacing through the path, she flashed back the time when she got lost in the supermarket when she was young. She couldn't forget it even when she tried to let it become just a memory. Little Hannah wouldn't go for the toys but the ONLY thing she always think about in her mind.... was a Scented Candle. The sweet aroma of cinnamon and tasty pumpkin spice. She would always go there and take a whiff of the endless options of creamy apple pie, spooky boo candy corn, Christmas eggnog, & it goes on and forever! One day she went to the same aisle, but came the new candles.

"Hannah we gotta get going babe." Her mother told her."We gotta go get that cranberry sauce we promised-"

"I know mom, i'm coming."

She answered her mother without looking at her. She was focused with the one candle she loved the most. Caramel and brown sugar.

Her father bought her that when he came from his second tour. She always waited for that candle to come. Always out of stock.

So she took a sniff of it and hugged it, full of love and passion.

"Mom can you pretty plea-"

She turned as she talked and her mother was no longer by her side. She called out for her mother and wandered into the appliances aisle. A man walked up to her and asked.

"Hey... isn't your father Eric Seltman?"

No response came from Hannah.

"You don't remember me... do you?" The man asked.

"Hannah!"

Hannah turned and saw her mother running up to her. She came between the man and herself. She looked at her and scowled.

"I don't want to see you out of my side do I make myself clear?"

"Crystal"

Her mother looked behind her then look back at her daughter.

She protectively wrapped her arms around Hannah. She took Hannah, still wrapped around her arms and left the store.

Ever since that day, she still remembered that man. Not because he disturbed her very badly, but his presence Hannah seems to be bewildered. Her mother didn't even SEE him.
